Well...The first day of the holiday season...And I wish I could have just skipped it...Cuz all I did was just wander thru my day...Waiting to call my dad and tell him dinner was ready and get over here and eat...Watching the girls walk out the door to go to their b/f's...The ex walking in after work...Then Ricki coming home with Payton...The only bright spot in my day *sigh*

All in all...I could care less if Xmas even happens this year...If Thanksgiving was a preview...It ain't gonna be nothing to celebrate :(

So how many of you have a cell phone? I imagine quit a few...duh...this is the millenium after all!

well i like to go thru on the holidays and send out the usually "happy" greetings...today i picked ten people that i text regularly and a few  i rarely hear from (i have to mention that my phone is full of numbers of people who just love to give them out and most are online friends that i put their number in and i never hear from them again...lol)

alright..i send out my little msg..and in the meantime get several in from people that i talk to and replied all that happy crappy...and in the last hour i have received 5 replies to my text...one was from the ex who couldn't be bothered to write his own...he just sent mine back...lmao! 3 that wished me the same...and 1 who said "who the hell is this?" now is that love or what! hehehe

so if you get a bored spot occuring in your holiday celebrations...go thru your phone and start wishing every tom, dick and harriet a happy thanksgivng and see what kind of replies you get! :D

OOPS: make that 6...lol

looked at my fubar page staring at me (ok...so i'm a true online junkie...i never turn off my pooter or my yahoo...and i'm always logged in to fubar..hehehe) and i have a nasty message from a "friend" who seems to have forgotten that i had to work 12 hrs yesterday...the same "friend" who told me off and accused me of using him becuz i didn't answer his texts yesterday (i might note here...i answered NO ONES texts yesterday since i didn't have time to be texting and try to get done with my job so i could actually spend time with my family...as a matter of fact...i never opened my phone until 7 pm last nite and had a LIST OF MISSED EVENTS!)

so anyway...i open my msgs on fubar this morning...and lo and behold! here sits a nasty msg from the same "friend"...needless to say my thanksgiving day is starting to go downhill and i've only been out of bed for half an hour

then i decided i better get my pumpkin pies made and realize no pie pans! (ok i'm the type that usually buys pre made pies but i was feeling ambitious this year...mistake!) anyway i decide ok i can use the broiler pan...it will hold two pie mixes...well...i mix it up and after its too late discover when i go to throw the milk cans away that they are evaporated not sweet condensed...hmmmm...then about the time i go to take it out of the oven...duh! i forgot to put the eggs in...so i have now created a big pan of non-sweetened cooked pumpkin that i doubt the dog will even want to eat! LMAO!!!!

then i'm putting the turkey in the pan and realize...no tin foil...well not enuf to cover up his naked little ass anyway...thank god the roasting pan has a cover...hehehe

i'm thinking that i may have to take an emergency trip to wal-mart (god bless wally world!) which is the last thing i want to do what with all the damn thanksgiving day sales going on...but you can't have thanksgiving without pumpkin pie right? and not tinfoil means all the casseroles are going to die a premature dried out death in the oven...soooooo

i guess i be heading to wally world soon...and i pray like hell i don't get trampled by some crazed gramma who has to get the last limited edition reunion cd of the beach boys for her over the hill grand daughter who can't live without THAT beneath her xmas tree on xmas morning!

so most of you start your holiday season with thanksgiving...well not this family...our holdiday season begins the day before on what we call "black wednesday" lol

i been delivering newspapers since 2000 and for the last 8 years the day before thanksgiving has been the nightmare from hell!!! lol

a paper to every home and business in branch county...18,000 in all...and 1200 of them mine! ugh!!! filled with xmas ads for thanksgiving and the day after (black friday)

so this year...all in all it went well...except that i also added a shoppers route to my job list which was another 290 papers that christa and i did on tues nite...and only took 2 hrs which i was very pleasantly surprised about!

christa and i go to the office yesterday about 830 or so and were out the door by 11 am which sucked cuz that was an hour later than last year...but the day went well...we had a lot of laughs...picked up Jr after school and he pitched in to deliver when my hands gave out and christa had to finish rolling and bagging the papers...we ended up being done by 7 pm which made my nite!

i came home and proceeded to enjoy my grandbaby, bake pies and play on fubar a little altho i ended up falling asleep on the desk at one point...lmao! but it was a nice change from the days when i had 15 routes and worked all day wed and thurs just trying to get 2200 papers done! :( i don't miss that!!!

anyway...i just thought this year i would take advantage of the blog spots i have on one of my profile sites and keep track of how this next 30 days goes...there are always memories of the good and bad i forget...and this year there is the loss of my dad that makes thanksgiving bittersweet...but i have a to be thankful for and i am going to keep that in mind when the blues try to carry me away this season :)
