I just ordered a gelgoog cannon (what has been mislabeled the Jonny Ridden Custom) and a Ramba Ral Zaku I

Why?

Because Ramba Ral gives me wood.

so... Gouf custom black Tristar/dom colors- one custom weapon. Customize the shield.

Okay, not really.

My plan is to take a zaku II and pretty much juest repaint him.

have to reconsider the head design though because

Bobba Fett has that rad T visor, and ... his helmet doesn't jive with any of the Zeon designs that I'm aware of.

That being said... I think I can do this.

The gelgoog darth vader conversion... might be even tougher.
I have to come up with something to do that rad samurai/kraut helmet, everything else is ... kinda already in place.
I do a piano black finish, hack off the shoulders at certain points, recast red parts for the beam saber...
which involves learning how to cast and color clear resin

and the rest is gonna be putting on all the rad chest dials and nobbies we know vader for.

If I hack off the fin
and put on a helmet

this would probably be the most bad ass thing to ever happen to a gelgoog.

I think it'd stand alone pretty well though.
I can see the studded leather with the piano black parts on a gelgoog in my head.
Pretty god damn slick I say.

I double fucked myself on ordering the gelgoog cannon though

no standard armament other than the beam naginata

no full sized shield.

He does come with an amped up forearm grenade launcher and a mini forearm guard (and a shoulder cannon)

but its not the same as that gelgoog on gundam beam rifle tower shield hot lesbo action.

I -thought- the ridden custom came standard with a bazooka because... uuuh Ridden is always pictured with one

*shrugs*
I'm gonna recast the giant baz that came with my Zaku II.
God knows I've got enough epoxy putty.

also- why the Ramba Ral custom?

1. Limited edition.
2. I love Ramba Ral.
3. Price. Zaku I is due for a Version 2 rerelease (because everyone got a ver 2) so ... the oldies are getting to be a WHORE to find in stock for less than $40. They're discontinued and about to be made vastly inferior.

I don't see any reason to pay full price for something due for a Ver 2 especially when the alt color/limited edition was
cheaper.

This is just a place holder for an idea burn. It'll probably be revisited later, pictures added, and thoughts actually explained.

Everything is faster with big honkin fuel plugs.

Shoulder vents, recast after cutting that faggy shoulder flair.

Articulated vernier array on shoulders or back, tripod design.

Alternate weaponry.
I dunno what... but if I hadn't put this here, you probably would've been confident in my ideas.

White seems to go really, really well with this unit

Get some concept ideas from german design armor, visors, and weapon designs.
I've always liked the idea of a magella gun shield...

I think I'll dig up some lineart for the kampfer and gouf, and start sketches for some custom fabs on a gelgoog.

Really, about the only way to make it cool is to shop new parts, and add more seams and surface effects.
