I have been reminded of an adage

Eye for an eye

In the Old Testament it gave angry people  an excuse  for

Revenge

Yet they ignored the Old Testament that says

Vengeance is mine...sayeth the Lord

That tells me that people thousands of years ago

KNEW that  there would always be people

Who are capable of great violence * manipulation

Just living on this planet gives you an eye patch

I  for one am happy to have one eye left

And a body that  lets me

Experience

All of this...with an eye oatch
