Which brings us to tonight's topic "beggar's can't be choosers" now... I don't want people to come down with a giant iron feminist hammer about women with kids and women over 24 and yadayadayada
What I want to say here is that my problem with women with kids are... multilayered, atypical.
My first statement is: I'm LESS turned on by women with kids. Like... not significantly, and I don't have any big hangup with physiology on this point or "eww that kid crawled out of there" its not even a matter of "wow- there's PROOf some other asshole has been here before me"
nah- its more that I wanna START a family, not waltze into one. Its not a turf war, its not an old-cow phenom. It's that its just that much more fuckin complicated with baby daddy drama, babysitters, and cartoon time. Relationships are hard enough on their own.
So... I checked my plentyoffish profile today and 90% of my matches are... *sigh* moms. And the more I go through them the more I realise I have a smaller problem with asking this divorce` out than these unwed moms. I was kinda wondering where the hell that was coming in and it kinda hit me
A formerly married woman is like a used car without any sundamage. Still got a few miles that I didn't put on her- but at least she's not missing wheels, held together with duct tape and a TRAIN WRECK!!! I mean seriously what sounds worse? "Well, I had this one when I was 17 with a guy I don't even remember the name of- this one I'm not sure WHO it was, I was with three guys that week- and this one! this one came from the love of my life and current stalker" or "my ex husband left me for a highschool student after he bought a ferari" its ... less hillbilly.
You don't get that ominous feeling of "MISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!" when you see a divorce's kids as opposed to a single woman's. And you have less to wonder about with the mental stability of the former's if she has 3 kids with one man over a 10 year marriage as opposed to... a 23 year old with 3 kids who has dated a cornucopia of men.
It's like the maturity level and need for validation are above par for this woman. And... I'm gonna willingly ask her out.
... *scratches his head* am I really this old? I'm 24... and I'm asking divorce's out. I'm asking someone's mother out. She's got a rockin bod, a sweet smile, a full time job and a graduate degree...
and THREE KIDS!!?!?! What the HELL!? Is this my life now?
My family has tidbits, cautions, and flaming fears of divorce`s and parent's alike. This woman WILL reject me like every other woman on pof, but its the fact that I'm actually willingly contacting her instead of immediately blowing her off because of her kids...
