Condemned

I wished upon a star one night Shining brightly above me I wished upon a four-leaf clover Growing underneath a tree Each year in June I wished upon a candle glowing bright I wished upon each shooting star that passed me in the night I blew away a fallen lash I whispered in a prayer That my true love would someday appear For me to love and care With eyes the color of the sea And a smile ear to ear He'd hold me in his arms And defend from all I fear A knight in shining armor is the man he'd try to be And every evening after work he'd come home to be with me I wished for someone to grow old with and walk with hand in hand Indeed my dream had come true But others caused it to come to an end How I prayed that this love would last Through the trials that have come to pass I've given all my faith that this love was true But now I am condemned to a life without you

Betrayal

“The best ammunition against lies is the truth, there is no ammunition against gossip. It is like a fog and the clear wind blows it away and the sun burns it off.”
Ernest Hemingway

They stab you when you're not looking
They snicker when you've just entered the room
They gossip behind your back
Yet stand before you and smile, calling you friend.

They seduce your mates Right under your nose
They spew off nothing but hate
and lies while you're comfortable feeling you have this family of friends around you.

One day the light flickers on in your mind's eye
You are suddenly aware of the treachery surrounding you.
Soon you find that they have played you a fool

You turn to one that you believed forever you could trust.
One that you love dearly and whole-heartedly
Only to find they are still stuck in the cloud of deceit.
Your heart is torn with which way to turn now
Suspicions arise and you sit back and let it ride.

The price we pay for popularity, friendships that we think are true and what we perceive as everlasting love and trust.
Soon turns to the biggest mistake of your life
as the world as you know it turns to dust.

You're now the target of rage and fury
None come to your defense who know the truth
You remain appearing strong to the faces of the enemy.
Yet silently cry and feel your heart torn to shreds inside.

The day will come when the truth shall be known
The day of reckoning
Your name shall be cleared to those that finally see
Yet the friendships lost, still can never be.

“I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you”
Friedrich Nietzsche

“The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we're afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we'll lose it. We fear that if we do not have love we will be unhappy.”
Richard Bach

“I love you, and because I love you, I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth than adore me for telling you lies.”
Pietro Aretino

Emotional Volcano

Fury building Longing to escape Churing hot lava deep inside Burning. Trapped, thick steam Seeking ventilation Exploding in a sudden crash. A whirlwind of ash and lava erupts into the heavens An awesome display of fire and fury Refusing to be restrained any more Dormant for far too long. Feelings once imprisioned within Now atlast unleashed Desiring what others have A Volcano.... ....Named Jealousy

Goodbye

I walk in the darkness Gazing silently at the sky I feel a presence, I know you are here. I turn to find you standing there. No fear to be found in my eyes. Despite the rumors of your lies. I come to you, enter into your embrace. But you release me and turn away. My soul’s been struck, tears fill my eyes All I can do now is wonder why. I touch your shoulder, pulling you towards me Meeting once more with your gaze. Your eyes glow with an unnatural burn I stand my ground, mind unchanged. You pull me close And grant me your eternal kiss. Our souls intertwined Entering a state of bliss. I hold you tight, without struggle. I grow weak, reeling with pleasure. You hold me closer a moment longer Then draw away slowly Laying me upon the ground. You smile gently at me, a tear falling from your eye "Forgive me" you whisper And once again it is goodbye...

Randomness

If you could see into my heart through my very soul, You'd find a world of emptiness and pain I can't control. This anguish could you possibly mend and pacify my fears; My unknown love, my hope, my wish, who will dry away my tears. I could love you, though we've never met I'm not sure if we even will; I dream of you both night and day, I long feel your touch; At times this foreign longing can often be too much. Thoughts of you can bring me joy, But equally great pain; While a thought may pass by fleetingly, The loneliness remains. I want a partner to stand by me As both our lives we share; I want to know that I am loved, I need to feel secure. I'll share your joys and triumphs, Rejoice when you are glad; And I want to be the shoulder That you lean on when you're sad. I want to know you through and through, I want you to know me; And though we're worlds apart; Step out of my dreams into my arms, Relieve my aching heart

Birth of A Nightmare

Ridien stepped out into the darkness just as the rain started falling. Paying no heed to the dismal weather, he turned and walked slowly down the street toward his favorite pub. This ritual had started years before, and tonight would be no different.
A working class but well off shopkeeper, Ridien was known by nearly everybody in the village and was liked by most. One liked him even more than the rest....her name was Machell. She was unknown in the village of Rhenquest by name, but well known as a demon who stalked the night, preying on the blood and souls of the innocent.
Ridien was born in this little village and had there spent his life, Machell had been watching him from an early age. She lived well beyond the village, deep in the mountains of Shamora. On this night she had plans to finally claim Ridien as her own.
The pub was filled with a smell of smoke and stale bourbon that Ridien had grown accustomed to from his earliest evenings there. The same lonely people sat in their usual places at the bar. Ridien moved forward to claim his own customary seat at the corner of the bar. Maxus, the barkeep, already had Ridien's whiskey on the bar when he sat down. Ridien smiled a hello and settled in to drink.
As Ridien sat in the pub quietly reflecting on his life, Machell was planning his afterlife. She had reached the outskirts of Rhenquest and already the excitement was building. All she had to do was catch Ridien walking home alone and convince him to join her at her mountainous lair. Not too difficult a task really, considering that her four hundredth birthday had long since come and gone. Her power seemed to be growing increasingly stronger with each passing day. This pleased her greatly. The art of hypnotism was second nature to her now, she would have no problems convincing him to join her, he would have no choice.
Ridien would be weak and helpless at first, but she could teach him and he would grow strong. It would just take time, the one commodity she had bested on the evening of her rebirth into the darkness. These thoughts entered and left her mind as she neared the pub.
Ridien finished the last of his nightly drinks and tossed 2 gold pieces on the bar to cover his bill. As he stood and turned to leave, Machell spoke to him. Deep in his mind he heard her voice for the first time, calling him, beckoning, reaching into his soul and drawing him toward her. For a moment he thought to resist, but was overwhelmed by the power of her summons.
Ridien walked out into the night in a daze, no longer in control of his body. Pulled by the force of Machell's spell, Ridien entered the alley where she, and his fate, were waiting to claim him.
Slowly, Machell stepped out of the shadows. Ridien stood unable to move and completely mesmerized by her. Machell lifted her hand to his cheek, caressing him gently. Inside her desire for him burned deeper. Ridien's heart raced as her touch terrified, yet calmed him. He tried to resist but could not break from gazing into her crystal blue eyes as they shimmered in the moonlight. His mind was overcome by her beauty and hypnotic powers. Gently Machell grasped his hand and at the speed of light, led him back to her darkened lair. Her hunger and desire for him burned deeper as she heard his heart racing, the smell of his blood tempting her.
As they stepped inside her Domain, Machell stood behind Ridien, With a soft voice, she spoke to his mind, "Come with me, I shall give you an eternity of love and power." Her voice echoed in his mind, her beauty captivated him. Ridien looked up at Machell and nodded slowly in acceptance of her offer.
Carefully Machell stepped closer, reaching a hand to his shoulder, she pulled the collar of his shirt back. Her other arm reached around him, pulling him into a firm embrace. Machell's mouth opened, her sharp fangs bared. Quickly, she lunged forward, sinking her teeth deep into Ridien's neck, piercing through his skin. Ridien cringed, feeling a blaze of heat, as he clung to her, wanting to scream out in pain yet unable to speak. The Beast inside her raged as his life-force flowed into her.
Ridien, feeling his life slipping away slowly, clung to Machell. He let out a soft moan of pain and pleasure. Suddenly he felt himself leaving his twisting and shaking body. Machell lifted him gently and lied him down onto the sofa. Enchanted by him she gazed at him momentarily and smiled in the anticipation of the happiness and companionship she had longed for over the centuries.
Machell pierced her wrist with her claw-like fingernail and held it to Ridien's lips. Softly she spoke verbally for the first time, "Drink of my blood, M'love, for eternity awaits us." Her sweet voice was music to his ears. The smell of the blood called out to Ridien, suddenly he lunged at her. His lips wrapped around her wrist and he greedily sucked at the wound. The hot red liquor past over his lips, feelings of ecstasy overcame him as the sweet thick vitae flowed down his throat. Machell let out a howl of passion as her love took a part her inside him, relishing in the pleasure as they became one.
As Machell pulled her wrist from his lips, slowly she glided her tongue over the wound, healing it swiftly. Ridien looked up to Machell, confused yet calm. Slowly he reached out for her, taking her hand in his and stood to his feet. Their eyes met again. Machell waited, examining Ridien closely. Finally, he spoke "Atlast m'love we can be together, I have longed for this moment all my life, always knowing in my heart that the one I was destined to be with would come for me." Machell smiled and pulled Ridien close to her. They embraced each other firmly and their lips met, falling into a passionate kiss.
Centuries passed and together they stalked the village of Rhenquest. Legends of Ridien's disappearance passed on throughout the years. Generation after generation were the tales of Ridien’s alleged appearance in the dark alley beside the now historic pub told. Occasionally Ridien and Machell would visit that spot in that darkened alley in memory of the beginning of their unlife together.
One evening, Machell awoke from her days sleep and found Ridien gone. Machell searched the village of Rhenquest looking for her love. In her despair she lurked in the shadows of the night, destroying every mortal she encountered. Learning that Ridien was no longer in that village or nearby vicinity, Machell moved on to the next town only to move on once again, as she slipped towards frenzy.
To this day Machell roams the earth seeking her love. It is rumored that late at night when the world is silent at the darkest hour, you can hear Machell's painful and lonely cry for Ridien, her one true love, to return to her.

Forbidden

Tell me please, what could this be, Could this be love that enthralls me Not just any one emotion Confidence, affection, and devotion Miles apart and days away But this love chiseled in my heart will stay Wanting to pull you close to me But knowing I cant, why must this be Caged, reaching out for you So close and wondering if you feel this too Illusions of love between you and I knowing I have to hide this, tears fill my eyes Yet in the reserve of our alone You hold me dear and no one is to know Infatuation in every stroke and every kiss In my dreams I fantasize of this This love feels too perfect to waste So far away yet close enough to taste Longing to be with you all the time Hungry for your heart to be one with mine Take this hand and escort me to your ocean Kiss me and fill me with your fragrant potion Make me winded, make we weak That one that takes all of life to seek Could I have finally found love Were you sent by a spirit above Every time I glance at your eyes so pure and true I lose my senses and want to be retained by you Craving to be in your arms, be held so tight Yearning, praying, begging with all my might But I know this in no way will be You and me at once for all to see This - what could it really be Forbidden love that captivates me.

Veiled curtains flow, wrapped in spiral winds of confusion this darkened breeze will know how storm clouds breed illusion this empty room so torn by the storms of yesterday tempest dreams to blow, teacups filled with dripping memories whirlwinds moving slow stir the walls with jaded tapestries and roll the river wild when the treetops start to sway a winter garden grows lush with flowers of uncertainty moonlight tangled in the throes with the winding vines of jealousy and tend the bitter nectar deep inside falling petals filled with wounds hide their fragrance from eternity for the beauty never blooms in the rain of insecurity and the rainbow never shines in darkened skies

Devoured

Chilled by the moonlight Senses hungrily search for the scent on the wind. A flicker of an image Swift movements in the shadows. Moving by instinct Guided by hunger and vision The moon kept at bay as the fog rolls in Darkness engulfing. Heavy the night moisture cold the earth under foot Searching for the secret things that dwell in the dark. Stopping suddenly for an instant Listening to the silence The sweet sound of breath divided, the calling in the soul Creeping quietly to a place where the moon penetrates the deepest of the dark A glimmering pool shines in the darkness, reflection staring back Gazing steadily into the reflection, seeking the dark mysteries there. An image amongst the stars and all of heavens and earth. Matching hunger and fascination desire and strength A rippling in the icy waters catches the images merging them as one for a distinct instant. Then quickly vanish leaving only the shining darkness Clawing at the soul clinging to flesh Howling in the wind creating the sweet sounds Alas, the night's music fades As the moon sets and the sun rises Comfort devoured Leaving emptiness
