frost has covered trees and grass
winds cut like glass between these homes
Darkness has fallen, another day past
Gray clouds conceil dark skies above

I lie alone, void of sleeps gentle touch
thoughts of you dart, dance, and play
my beating heart bleeds in a rush
I yearn to see your angelic face

This cold expanse between us laughs
mocking earth and ocean alike
suffocating, longing for you I gasp
Shivering I am in blackest night

I want to see you, taste you, hold you close
I want to feel, you smell you, hear your voice
I count the seconds until you are with me once more
I count each tear that make my eyes moist

I live for dawn, for morning rays
for birdsongs that echo through window panes
Another night with you has passed to new day

I adore our time ever brief we spend
