Have you ever just sat and wondered what the point of it all is? I have sat wondered, pondered and worried over this very question more than I like to admit and more than I ever needed to…
I have a good life, and a difficult one as well. But hey isn't that life anyway?
I have a wonderful little girl who is the light of my life. She makes it all worthwhile, and keeps me where I need to be. She will be 4 in February and I just can't believe it. She started school this year with Big 5, and loves it. She is learning faster than I ever imagined and can't wait to learn more. She amaises me everyday with something new and bright. Reminds me daily that there is more than just working day in and out. There is time to just sit and enjoy those you love.
I also have a wonderful man in my life as well, Michael. He definitely makes me smile when the last thing I want to do it just that. I can hardly stay mad at him, and he makes it no fun to fight lol… ;) Just as soon as I think I have him figured out, he surprises me with something new. Here is where it just gets mushy.. lol I love the way he holds me and kisses me like I'm the only woman on earth he would like to kiss. I like just cuddling on the couch and watching tv together. I like how just out of nowhere he'll hold my hand. The way I catch him looking at me just makes my heart stop and sigh. I don't know what I'd do without all of this. But he's part of it all for me.
I have many wonderful friends as well. They definitely are all of their own… lol to be more exact on what I mean, I don't seem to have two of the same kinds of friends.
Take Anna for example, my roommate. She is 22 and likes to hole herself up in her room, at one point I was lucky to see here once a day… lol but that's just Anna. She likes to go out to the clubs with me and seems to keep me out of as much trouble as she will get me into.
Stephanie is just like my sister to me. She has been there for me in some pretty… Strange situations.. lol We have a tendancy to go for the same type of guys if not just the same ones. You would just have to know us to know what I mean. We have known each other since band camp…(yes I said band camp I may tell you some stories if you don't giggle too much when you ask..lol) and have been great friends since.
Michael another one not my BF this one is happily married to a very nice lady. We also have been friends since band camp and yes I definitely have many stories to tell about us… Best thing to put about him is no matter what we have always stayed friends through thick and thin. We have always seemed to pick up where we left off no matter how long it had been since we had seen each other.
Ryan is another band camper.. shoot I can put so many people that I'm still friends with from there… Ryan is special to me in other ways as well though. No matter what I have done in my past he has always been there and laughed with me, even when I should have been crying. As much as he could he always tried to show me the right way to do things, and I always went the other way…lol which if you know me is nothing new.
Josh, well he's definitely one to have to comment on. He's my Canadian. *smiling* he definitely keeps me more in line. We were both there for each other during a really hard time in both of our lives. We met at the end of both of our divorces. Both of us not realizing how much we both really needed a friend, one who knew what we were going through. Even though he is very far away (over 2000 miles) he will always be very close to my heart. One day he will be back, I hope I'm here to see that.
My family has been there more than I could have ever asked for. They supported me when anyone in their right mind should have walked away. I have a wonderful mother that no matter what I did she still loved me and prayed for me. My father who always said just don't let your mother find out, who loved me despite me letting him down repeatedly. And a little brother, that though he is taller is still younger, loves me still and keeps me in line because his opinion means so much to me.
So many people in my life mean so much and I know there are many I still have not said anything about, but I will eventually… Everyone I know has touched my life in one way or another, I hope I have done the same as well.
That is the whole point of it all, to be there for the people you love and love them no matter what, whether they make a little mistake or a huge one. I have made my fair share of them, all I can hope to do is be there when a friend falls to help them as they have with me.
