April 24th will be the 2nd anniversary of my sons death... Last year I was at a permanent job and was able to take the day off. They had planned it ahead of time because they knew the date since I was working there at the time of his death.
This year I am at a job under contract, so I somewhat fear asking for a day off. However, I'm also afraid that I'll become an emotional wreck and will be unable to perform my job properly
So, do I just ask for the day off? Or suck it up and go in and hope for the best? |
