so I just spent the last 3 1/2 days in Sunny Florida, so my Son#1 could compete in The Nationals Swimming Championships!
After missing our flight to Tampa early Friday morning(because they overbooked)
( some 20-30 people missed that flight but our luggage all went.)
Being rerouted on a later flight to Orlando (almost 2 hours away from where we needed to be),
having to pay more money to rent a car to get us there, cause the rental place I already had rented from to be picked up in Tampa, was out of cars in Orlando, and a taxi would have costed $220 fucking dollas......
driving back to Tampa airport to pick up our luggage & switch rentals.
I still got him to the meet just in time for warmups...
Was a hell of a day, but ohhh so worth it in the end!
I just wanna say I am one damn proud MoM!!!!
His 1st time there & he came home with 5 medals and 3 ribbons... one being a Gold for 1st place in the 200 Senior Boys Medley IM.
Fantastic to say the least!
This will now be an annual event for us, although next time... I will extend my stay & bring Son #2 along for the ride!
