This a tribute to my Nana Alice( Bruton) Mann 

She can no longer remember me, my father, my sister, my cousin and many more as she has severe alzheimer's and now resides at the Regency house and this thread is to let her know and everyone else know that even though she cannot remember everyone in her life through out the years she will not be forgotten. 
She was born in 1921 in that ice house you see on route 5 near McDonalds to Leo and Myrtle Bruton she had one brother 3 sisters I believe. 
She cared for My Aunt who was severly crippled which would have her leave school. 
One day her friend from upstairs could'nt go on a date so she asked my Nana to take her place this is where she would meet Frank Mann my grandfather and marry him. In the 56 almost 57 years of their marriage they remained a very loving couple, they also produced a wonderful daughter Gloria and a son Francis, they would have 4 grandchildren in order Joanne, Deborah, Alicia ( named after my Nana) and me Jennifer, they would have 6 great grand children in order Spencer , Aurora, Jesse, Kyle, Katie and Alora. They also owned a resteraunt called the Salad Bowl but one my nana gave out bigger portions than she was charging for and all the work it was they sold it in the early 70s. 
In the 40s they adopted a son they called frank but do to political correctness on others parts they had to take him back to the state and Frank if you're out there she cried still for you years later. 
Alice always gave when maybe she should'nt have and rarely asked for anything in return which she deserved 10 fold. She always felt she was no better than anyon else but in many ways she was very different she taught you to love with all your might, never be afraid of new things and to not judge without knowing all the facts first. She was happy going to the Bingo at the still wood in where she would help those get their food or drink who couldn't manage on their own. When a senior man would flirt with her she would say God gave me one man may not have been perfect but he was a good man. She loved making all sorts of crafts and God she was great at them, like making beads, sewing beads in any type of pattern you wanted on a shirt, making dolls , clowns, and she was a wonderful seamstress noone can sew like that woman could believe you me. She was also a wonderful cook she could make anything from zuccini bread to stuffed cabbage and peppers. Don't get me started on all the food she could make lol She also loved cats. 
Alice Mann, Nana I hope this sums it up how much we really love you and how much you mean to us. God bless you and to all that read this. 
I hope to have made you proud and know that you are still the best. 
SHe use to call us all girlfriends and boyfriends so Nana youre my #1 Girlfriend of all time and forever will be. I love you Love Jenny xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
