Happy to see YOU
And WELCOME !!!
I've been spending so much
time with my granddaughter
ELLA GRACE
I'm been bouncing off the walls ...
Wait, it's probably the sweets
I've been eating OF Ella's that
has me bouncing perhaps?
Nah, Do I look like the type who
would steal candy from a baby?
he-he
I know she gets entirely too much candy
but I do too, from HER! (lol) She's trying
to fatten up her granddad!
(And her granddad likes it)
I've had more candy given to me the
last month than I consumed for 5 years.
It's cute and her mother isn't any better,
She went shopping the last two times and
brought me home butterfingers & M&M's
(both my favorites)
Sweets are fast becoming my new addiction.
I seriously didn't really stress over NOT having
candy as a child nor teen or any time leading
up to the last year or so ... But I actually
will spend some time when going down the candy
isle these days ... Actually caught myself
"Shopping" for sweets the other day (I chuckled aloud)
Which brings me to:
What's your favorite candy bar?
Or Impulse item at the check-out?
Has it always been the same thing?
I know as a child, I liked chocolate items
more than any other stuff at the 'penny store'
Although a 'swedish fish' was fun -
Gum - I liked chewing gum (Mint flavors)
more than bubble gum - which when I was
small ... wasn't that many kinds to chose.
Anyone remember penny candy? I was telling
Lexy (My youngest daughter) About the prices
and as I was doing it, I thought I sounded like
my grandpa with his far fetched stories ...
But our small town actually had TWO candy stores.
With the big glass cases for the unwrapped piece candy.
Like the stuff that was sold by the pound.
You'd get like 13 licorice for a nickel.
I also liked the real small candy covered balls-
Like a malted ball, but smaller and were in a
package (like the size of a cigarette) and you'd
put the whole plastic pack in your mouth and pull
the plastic out and the tiny candy balls would turn
your tongue colors??
(kinda like m&m minis)
Anyone else remember them, what they were called?
Well, tell me my friend ...
What's your favorite now, then and an older
Type you never seem to see any more ...
Let's have some 'SWEET' memories!
I actually have something to say about today's comment!
(it is why I started this daily blog, to give the rhythm or reason behind the message)
*nods*
I really dont have any computer graphic lessons,
I've winged it from the first day I sat in front of a computer about 5 years ago.
So the M&M's were originally made to put as a 'pretty girl' photo comment
I made the M&M's a long time ago
about two years as a photo comment
You know - for gals showing those 'sweets'
and I could go 'mmmmmmmm' ...
I made the 'Thursday' graphic about then too,
The background I made last evening.
I was experimenting with how to make a glare
And add demention, that was the end result.
I was so excited that it wasn't half bad
(Remember, I'm ALL self taught - not even an art class of any sort)
I thought I show it to the mumm-folk ...
So I made a mumm about HOW to make M&M's
Just to give me an excuse to make a mumm ...
Those were the days that you could
just make a mumm to reach out and
say HI to friends with no reason ...
without having to defend yourself
from a barrage of hate and haters!
Ahhh the good old days! lol
But heres how I made them & the mumm I posted:
I know, I know
I look at it now and think:
It's not THAT bad,
but it's -r e a l l y- not THAT good either!
*shrugs*
So, there were the mmmmmmm came from,
I bumped into and thought I could find
a place for it down the road ...
Here's a candy related 'R' rated message
I came across ...
I leave you with that & my greeting ...
I hope this finds your with all the 'sweets'
You want to eat & love to have around!
*kisses his grandbaby & winks*
