i am BACCCKKKKK!

Been MIA for awhile - gawd i miss this site! need to post a salute pic to level up - the problem being i don't have a digital cam and have been lazy asking friends who do have a digital cam to help me out ...i know, kick my lazy butt, will ya? *LOL*

*LOL*

PMS does strange things to me. I walk into an accessory shop and 20mins later i walk out with a ponytail extension that makes me feel like an anime character! ;-) Boy, i think i fail at the gothic lolita look! *ROFL*

Yes, i am back!

Yes, i am back! Finally managed to get an Internet connection set up in my home and the place i visit is FUBAR! *ROFL* God, i missed this place! I'm one happy girl now!

It's been a crappy month

It's been a crappy month and looks like this will extend to another month. I just had a realisation: there is no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people!!!! *GROWLS* Add me to the equation too: took me close to THREE years (it will be three this coming March 2008) to understand the company i work for comprises of idiots (nearly three quaters of them). i'm starting to question my "sound" judgment of people! *LOL* Not only that, i have lost my perfectly non-existent social life, am stressed as hell, been binging on chocolate hence have gained weight (my weighing scale broke last nite the moment i stepped on it - that's TOTALLY bad!) *then sighs* ah well, back to the grind!

Team Photos taken today

I dressed up real nice today *grins* our team was gonna have our pictures taken for our company YearBook. I am the one dressed in striped long sleeved shirt and pants, my Team Leader is the one in green short sleeved shirt and wears glasses! *LOL* we had fun posing wanting to strangle him! *LOL* Have posted those pictures here but it's only open to friends and family!
I have a close relationship with my sister even though we're far apart; she's based in Europe whereas I am here in KL, Malaysia. We keep in touch via emails and the occassional text messages/phone calls. This year, she'll be back in time to celebrate Diwali with the rest of us family and I am so excited to see her again! I had this marvellous idea or two to bounce off her to make Diwali big and had emailed her. Her response made me laugh, and considerably brightened up my day :-) Am posting the email exchange between us (some lines have been edited here). I want to remember this day! :-) _______________________________________________ From: Me To: My sister Subject: Vodka and Saree when you come back home Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2007 Hi sweets, Two marvellous ideas hit me on how we can make Diwali big this (or at least, one!) 1. Vodka This is more like a personal request - can you get me a bottle of Vodka when you come back? ... Please, no Absolut or Smirnoff label - the whole idea is for me (and us!) to get acquainted with the rest of the vodka labels (and taste) that is out there in the market!... There is even a locally made vodka (VASPAROV BLACK LABEL - smooth taste and smells like heaven) that i had just recently tried!!! *LOL* i'd like for us to spend an afternoon getting high whilst ... From Poland, Russia, France, somewhere out there from East Europe or even America, i don't care! Buy a label we've never tried before - be adventurous! ... Yes, i had been reading abit about the various vodkas out there that is not available here in Malaysia! I really do envy the choices that are available in [there]! 2. Saree I am planning to get Mum to teach me how to dress up in a Saree for this Diwali. I've never worn it before, and i think at 30, it's high time i learnt something new! How about you? I want to ask Mum if ..., seeing as how this is the first time in ages you will be here to celebrate Diwali with us! I think it will be fun! Say you'll dress up with me ... These are just ideas to bounce off you to make Diwali fun this year. What say you? EBB ***** From: My sister Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2007 To: Me hi darling sure i get some vodka, i like the idea of scaring the parents into thinking we are both alcoholics, drinking away in the afternoon. i am pleased i know what to get for you. ... would you like anything else? there are sales all over the place, so i will be happy to get more stuff. saree??????? christ. we will have to have a chat when i am home. love you much _________________________________________________ I am quite glad that sis and I agreed whole-heartedly to shock the parents (they are noew quite immune to our antics, having seen us at our worst during our childhood years! *grins*) but her response to our dressing up in a saree cracked me up. I do believe she is NOT enthusiastic about that idea at all! *ROFL* Ah, well, we'll see what happens on Nov 8th!

She's finally gone

Sad day indeed. My favourite (and most reliable) colleague has left. Today is her last day *sigh* I feel quite sad but she's received a better job offer and I wish her the very best. Now, the rest of us are STILL stuck with our glorious leader! *sigh* What a day. Hope I never have another one like this again.

i am so CHEESED OFF!

OK, i am so cheesed off today. What started out as a harmless joke at got ME ticked off by my own Team Leader (TL). See, he had sent us a mass email about certain upcoming projects - he's good in a way that he tries to give us pep talks now and then - and it involved aspects that i intensely disliked. Because i couldn't keep my mouth shut, i just HAD to reply back to all. That email of mine started a whole flurry of in-house jokes that only us seniors understood (one newbie gamely joined in that flurry of mass emails flying back and forth between us all) and for awhile, ALL of us felt Camaraderie ... Anyway, that email of mine earned ME a reprimand from my TL via email. I am still fuming which is why i am venting here. Have compiled the emails all together and posting it right here - i want this perpetuated for eternity! Names have been changed to protect the jokers and an anal idiot in my entire team ... ______________________________________________ From: RT aka Team Leader (TL) Sent: Wednesday, 3 October 2007 2:57 PM To: NZ Team Subject: Parachecking and 2-way reads Hi all, Let's continue to maintain our high standards of quality when it comes to parachecking and 2-way reading. There will be quite a lot of legislation movement over the next few months with N…, N… and N…, and it will require us to be especially careful when doing the checks - let's make sure that the legislation goes out accurate and correct. Thank you all for your support on this. Best regards, RT (TL) ******************** From: K aka ME! There are those that like legislation compared to commentary and it would be best not to influence the new members of the team, especially - let them form an opinion after working through it. New Zealand has a big focus on legislation and our team cannot run away from that. Hope you can understand. Thank you. Cheers, TL
