The Story Behind Scooter’s Bar By: Nathan Francis a.k.a. Shadow_of_God Scooters Bar is the Oldest Lounge on Fubar. Created back in December of 2006 it has been around for quite awhile and has seen many things in its time. Scooters Bar was created by Robert Russell also known as Slade. Slade Russell has been a member of Fubar before it was Fubar. Slade joined back in October of 2006 back when Fubar was called; Cherry Tap. He was rather disappointed with the lounges back then. “Every Lounge I went into, all they talked about was Graphic Sex and Drugs.” said Slade, so Slade decided to create Scooters Bar with the mindset of a place for Bikers and Friends to come and chat. Now it has blossomed into quite a successful lounge and has become the Home of his Radio Station “XXXtreme Full Throttle Radio”. When asked about the troubles that Slade has gone through to get here he said; “I have run into the same problems over and over and its newer lounges jealous of mine and the Scooters Bar success, lounge spamming and such but all in all other than the usual lounge to lounge drama it’s all been good.” Slade has always been able to put that aside and Keep rocking on in the comfort of his lounge. Slade then commented with this; “I help in the development of the new lounge set ups I never asked to be in a "lounge war" but got drug into one.” I asked Slade what he meant by a Lounge war he told me this; “Well its about numbers, being #1 on the Lounge list, when I first started there was not a biker based lounge on Fubar, I wanted a place for bikers to hang out and be themselves then because of other lounges being jealous of the success of the Scooter Bar I got drug into the everyday B.S. of fighting for members, lol its all a game to me but some take it way to serious.” Slade has no Idea how Correct he is on this subject. I then asked Slade how his Lounge has become such a Successful place. “I learned how to make bulletins and tags to tag profiles so I do my own promoting”. It has been discovered that being able to Promote on your own has become a successful way of getting a lounge off the ground. “I have ‘The Scooter Bar Beauty Crew’ that is part of my promotions team that I started right after I created the Scooter Bar” another Reason for his Success says Slade. When asked what the main Reason for his Success he said this; “Great staff and music, if it wasn’t for the staff it wouldn’t be what it is”. “We don’t allow the ‘drama’ in the Scooter Bar, some lounges allow explicit sex chat I don’t.” So according to Slade his Success happens to lie with his Staff. They are the back-bone to his Success. His Lounge is so successful because He never allows the Drama that bring down most lounges. And he never allows Cybering or any Disrespect.
