Good Morning. In the News the Navy is awaiting return of the space shuttle so they can lob a missile at the out of control space satellite. Mariners in the Pacific Ocean beware at 10:30 eastern time. Hmmm so here is a thought, why warn Mariners in the Pacific Ocean with an Eastern Time line? There must be some rationality to give an eastern time zone alert to western boaters…Oh well rest assured the Navy will come through….I hope… it does not speak volumes for their aiming accuracy if they have to wait for the space shuttle to touch down first…oh well we will see…
On the other side of the world New Zealand has something to bark about. A CD recorded at a very high frequency just topped the charts and is number one. But you and I can’t hear it, actually no human can, here is that story: The song, "A Very Silent Night" is said to be recorded at such a high sound frequency that only dogs can hear it.
The tune was issued as a CD by the Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals just before Christmas to raise funds. It has sold 6,000 CDs, a considerable achievement in the tiny New Zealand market, at 1.50 pounds each.
The accompanying video shows Dei Hamo, a New Zealand singer, and two female companions, who formed into a group calling themselves 'The Underdogs' for the occasion, mouthing the words of the song, ‘The Underdogs’ is a great name for a group singing to dogs…I mean mouthing to dogs. That is a great heart warming story for the warm noser…yeah yeah I know noser isn’t a word. I just hope E-harmony doesn’t find out. The next thing you will see will be E-doggy… That just sounds naughty! You know, I just hate it when the Internet which we will shorten and call it “E” cross’s over to Audio and Video, Radio and TV. Here is my pitch on that. The E factor is known enough for those who have computers and the fact they advertise on the radio and TV is absurd! Do you think that people who do not have computers and all of a sudden hear on the radio or TV an ad for E-Harmony are going to rush out and buy a computer? Hardly! I mean come on use your own forum to place your ad, stay off the blasted TV and Radio ad’s use the Internet for that forum. Soon and I say that already seeing ad’s on the Internet “E” for TV shows, and Radio personalities. We get barraged with enough ads in our daily diet to have more TV and Radio ad’s while working and the same thing goes at Night time when you get an eye rest, I call getting up and away from the computer screen an eye rest because you normally are besieged with lights, pop-ups, escape routes and virus warnings on an onslaught to destruction of ones own sanity. Don’t get me wrong I love the “E” it gives me this forum to gripe about this and that… but the E-this and E-that Match.com and E-Divorce and E-Lawyer… oh my gosh the “E” Never ends… Wasn’t getting an E in school means you failed? Again here I am biting off the hand that feeds me so to say… but enough with the E-commercials on the Radio and TV… My word… You know I often start on the lower level and all of a sudden I am on floor 4 of the soap box and the air is thin up here…choking! Honestly that is all I have today good luck to the Navy in blasting that satellite out of the sky and hopefully no shrimp fisherman takes a piece of shrapnel in the noggin. Also congratulations to New Zealand for that Doggy CD. Woof woof bark bark rrrrruff! For those reading this to their Dog’s at home.
And lastly, who wants snow? We have reached our fill limit. No more damned snow… How about New York and Illinois you guys need it…please?
