The Land That I Love
Lying on a pile of hay
And watching the flowers grow.
Constant cries of cows on their way
As daisies in the sun bow below.
From the barn, a distant horse
Feeding from the oats.
From the barrel filled with grains so coarse
And watching bucking goats.
Someone gathering herbs for afternoon tea.
As I hear a tractor afar in the field
I see the sheep as they pair up in three
Cling to the earth and watch it all yield.
As I watch it all unfold, I happen to see
Above is clear skies as the clouds danced away.
I am so peaceful and happy to be
Here in farm life, Pennsylvania U.S.A.
