Yesterday, I arrived late at My nephews birthday. Thanks to the Tall Ex. *rolleyes*
The whole drive there, I kept glancing down at the clock and watching myself become later and later and...
I sighed.
I am usually late. In some way. Except at work.
Finally I arrived. The girls giggled and ran up Dawns steep driveway, I followed slowly, lugging my overnight bag behind me.
I smiled when I saw the hundreds of grenade water balloons lined up on snow sleds.
Dawn Knows how to throw a Kids party best.
We ate and I made a crappy new drink containing chocolate chip icecream. Dawn wrinkled her nose and looked down at me. She pursed her lips around the straw once more. "It tastes coffeeish."
She doesn't love coffee.
"Im just sayin...I vote for the sherbert. Sherbert and Vodka for me!" I grin and spoon pink and orange sherbert into the blender.
I splashed a lil of this and a bit of that. It was Yummy and I was proclaimed a Genious.
By presant time I was feelin a lil woozy.
I came inside, where the house was quiet and cool. And walked back to her bedroom.
I sprawled on my tummy, tucking the pillow close to me.
I lay there and listen to Dawn and her family giggeling and laughing. Jesse making her children so happy sliding down the backyard on his homemade zipline.
I smiled as I lay there.
Listening to my Bestfriend so happy.
Jesse completes her family.
That's what I want someday. Happiness like that.
