THIS IS JUST THE METHOD I USE -- YOUR TASTES
MAY BE TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
I just don't rate something if I would
really rate it less than 10.
When I have an attraction here is what
I do --
0. Click 10 rating under picture so they
know immediately who I am when I do
step 1 & they have to guess.
1. say admire quickly if no time to
checkout immediately. Then come
back later. IF UNSURE, skip this
but put one pic immediately in
favorites in case your session expires
so you have a way to get back to them.
2. Go check all photos which are not
marked "private". Rate those I like 10.
3. Go back to profile itself & click "click
to close" on the trackz, music, & idols
sections expanding, which I have no
interest in.
4. When "about me" & "interests" have come up
decide how much I really like the person
based on this.
Numerous people put "playlists" & big
pictures in these fields, with some at
least a bit of text. I am looking for text.
Mine is ONLY text.
5. Click on fan to start. Later if they
like me, click on invite for friendship.
6. HOWEVER, if totally enthused, then skip
step 5 and invite for friendship.
7. FINAL STEP is check some of their blog entries
if they sound interesting.
8. However, if overall a STUPENDOUS contribution
evident somewhere even if not wideranging --
rarely with me -- then I offer to
make "family" if deemed a good idea.
I don't want to put up thousands of
pictures, nor establish tens of thousands
of friends in various categories like some
people do.
All photos allow rating. Some people's
photos do not allow comments -- or if so
they must be "approved" before becoming
official. Some photos also cannot be
ripped -- I have done that on a few of
mine. You can at least "add to favorites"
if desired, which no one but yourself sees.
I MADE THE MISTAKE OF DISALLOWING
COMMENTS ON PHOTOS -- I THOUGHT IN
"PRIVACY SETTINGS" THAT WHEN MENTIONED
"ALLOW PHOTO COMMENTS" THAT IT MEANT
ALLOWING PHOTOS TO BE PUT AS COMMENTS
IN BLOG ENTRIES. MY MISTAKE.. DEFINITELY
WANT TO ALLOW PHOTO COMMENTS.
I went for a long time with just rating
10 and found that quite adequate. Eventually
there was someone that I really wanted to
rate 11. In the rating comment on their main
pic it says -- want to know how to rate 11 ?
I clicked on it and found that via costing
$10.00 on credit card I could rate 500 items
an 11 if desired. This I purchased and have
used about 50 of them so far.
