Useless thoughts

As I listen to the beat of my heart as it fades to a silence I begin to feel the numbness taking over my body as it pulls me away from the shell I have left behind I stare at my remains, it looks hollow and empty.

I ponder for a moment and wonder if this was meant to be was I destined to be alone when I die and never feel the warmth of another’s touch or love?

I often wondered if I would be alone when I died or if I would be lucky enough to be in the arms of someone I loved holding me tight as I passed on to the next of what was unknown to me.

Would the people I loved and known be there to greet me into my next journey in life?

Am I

Am I the one that crosses your mind in the morning when you first wake? Will my name be the words on your lips if it is the last breath you take?

Am I the one you will be missing if I was gone? Would you just simply move on? Or would you go to someone looking for what we had to keep you from being sad?

Am I the one who will make you cry when I am gone? Will there be a hole in your heart that won’t mend or will you simply move on?

Am I the one that makes you smile? When you sit down with me for a while or am I just there to fill the time until somebody else comes down the line?   

Am I the one that’s first on your list or am I just the one who I will always be second best?

In the rain

As the rain trickled down upon us we stood there for a moment looking into each others eyes then tasting the wetness on our lips as our tongues danced within the rhythm of our hearts as they began to beat almost as one.

Our hands roamed from one position to another feeling every curve within our bodies as the wet clothes quickly dropped to the ground our bodies collided together in a heated passion pulling us into each other and becoming as one for there were no words spoken at that time, the only sounds that could be heard was the beating of the two hearts in perfect rhythm.

As the pace quickened and the rhythm became united, the two bodies exploded together as the muscles tensed up and became weak as to where all there was left was to hold and embrace to each other listening to the sounds of the rain falling all around them.
