Brat's blog: "Saving the world one review at a time...Controversal? maybe, rock the world? Probably not."

I love writing these types of blogs, they make me smile... a lot. So capital punishment, for it or against it. That's the question of the night...I just wrote a seven page paper on why the united states needs to increase the amount of capital punishment that they use. Now some people might not agree with this but I'll list out and some what explain four reasons why: 1.it will reduced the actual crimes commited in jails/prisions by inmates. How should we expect people to get better in prision, when they have to be afraid for thier lives. It's not possible. There was this one case that I heard of. This man was convicted of murdering his son's girlfriend, and while in jail, he murdered three other people. He finally got the death sentence after that, but three other people had to die before that happened. People can not get better in jail with a kill or be killed mentality, therefore kill more inmates, and there will be less of that to worry about. 2.Justice for the families and friends of the murder victims. They need closure as well! But I heard from a Baltimore sun article that the victims families only want justice, so the person can't do it again. People say why not just give them life? No. Not fair, b/c later on people will say that's inhumane as well, and then people will get off earlier than life. So death is the only choice. And is it really fair for the murdered person's family to have to pay taxes for a murder to live the rest of his life? No its not I dont' feel like writing anymore, but I have two other points I might do later. night.

In the United States alone according to http://www.wsws.org/articles/1999/sep1999/pov-s10.shtml, there are more than 2.7 million children that are in families with incomes below one-half of the poverty line, this was a study done in 1999. The number of children living below poverty has definitly increased by now. This was described to me one time as making $6,500 a year for a family of three children. Now you're asking me why you should care? Why, why care about over 2.7 million children in the United States, why care? You need to care because these children are our future, these children could be our leaders one day. If they dont have potential in life, because they don't have any money, or any food to eat. Then who will run our government tomorrow? People complain that the government doesn't understand the people. Why is that? Lets go over some of the reasons why the government officials don't understand the people and what they need. These government officials never had a whole lot of hardships to go through in their lives. Everything was always handed to them on a platter. So why would we expect them to understand what the average person goes through on a daily basis? In a way it's our fault as well for electing these people that do not understand us, but it's also their faults for not trying to understand the people a little better. Now moving right along to the topic of my Blog, impoverished children. They will know, when they grow up what the average, or below average citizen would want. But, they won't have the schooling or education to take office. If people would just step in, and make sure these children could get a good education, these are the people that we want running our government. Only if we can get them educated though. So we have ourselves in a perdicament, we want the people that understand our problems, but the way society is unable to help them during their childhood makes it so that these people can't be in office. Something needs to change. It's not the childrens fault, that their parents can't take care of them. It wasn't their choice to be brought into this world. So we should help them. If we help them, then one day, we might be able to bring one into office. Then some changes would occur that the people would want to see.
