Valentine’s Day Cupid’s naked and wants to play With your heart today Bow and arrow in his grip Shooting fast from the hip Aimed straight for you Do not duck It’s your day of luck Breathe in deep Soak up the air Find the love Awaiting there Once it’s found Grab with both hands Hold on tight Don’t let it slip out of sight No dozen roses One would smell just as nice No box of candy needed If you are sweet Candle light glowing Thoughts of love inspire Holding you Kissing you Making love to you Let Cupid dance This Valentine’s Day Filled with romance Blue Eyes sparkle Snow piled high Let love drift And Capture your mind For happiness might be The reward you find. Wishing Well... > > I was given an acre of land, > and in this field a wishing well did stand. Poem: Take a Stand > > Close your eyes > if you want to see > The world the way > you wish it to be > Keep them closed > nice and tight > To rid the troubles > from your sight > Be blind to the drugs > on the street > And the children that > are constantly beat > Be numb to the families > that starve each day > And the people > without a home to stay > Unaware of the elders > needing medical attention > And the slowly decrease > in retirement pension > Forget the rising costs of > our daily needs > And a gang member > whos gunshot continuously bleeds > Turn the cheek > as an abortion takes place > And when discrimination occurs > because of our race > Be deaf to the protestors > on the news we see > And to the desperate cry > of an orphans plea > Ignore the increase > of drug addiction > And all religious readings > with the world end prediction > Close your mind to > the gay or straight > And to their beliefs > of who to love or hate > But if you are strong > and want to do your part > Then open your eyes > along with your heart > You can make a difference > soon you will see > begin by donating > to your favorite charity > Or be the one > to take a stand > by offering help > with an extended hand > But if you are weak > and can't bare to see > what is happening > to you and me > Then shut your eyes > if you want to see > The world the way > you perceive it to be > Keep them closed > nice and tight > And go to sleep thinking > everything is alright > But when you wake > nothing will change > until something happens > causing your priorities to > rearrange! Poem: Grass to grow..... > Grass still isn't growing on the ground where you left the world behind. There is a cross that reads your name there instead you will find. > Fresh flowers flowing seem to appear everyday. But as time passes, they too wither and blow away. > I am reminded of you so often when I drive by the old high school. And how we use to think that drinking and driving was so very cool. > Now only tears stream down my face when I drive by the area where your wreck took place. > Such a good friend you were to everyone, the highlight of the party, you were always so much fun. > As the years go by I still picture you drinking a beer with a huge ol' grin, for a dry keg was your only fear back then. > Too bad that guy had been drinking when he decided to pass you in your car. The newspaper read that they have witnesses that he had been drunk hours before leaving the bar. > It's a shame to think that something you use to love so well, was the cause of your death and the creator of your parents living hell. > But grass still isn't growing on the ground where you left the world behind a few years ago. HATRED I hate you I learned to despise you all of you from the sound of your voice to darkness of your eyes Every ounce of my being Hates you You make me ill I can't stand you The devil is attractive compared to you I want nothing more than to never see you or hear you ever but that is not possible for we are tied by ropes of hell forever no flame too hot no knife too sharp will ever release the hold upon me bound by eternal hatred Exploding emotions a wrath of pain corrupts my mind leaving me angry I am pissed my blues eyes have turned to black for how much I loathe you bathe in boiling water singe the flesh from your bones cook the evil from within for I hate you I really freaking' hate you for when you die I will live!
