When my heart you take
Will you release it from this world
Where pain and suffering
Are the only knowledge
Or will you just taunt
And tease me
Leaving me later
For a new day
Promises made
As well as broken
What words I’ve sad
More often left unspoken
Who was I to answer a prayer
Who was I
To give away my only heart
Hoping in return
Your love I would again
Only to find
Everything still remains the same
