Whether we realize it or not, whether it is welcomed or not, others can project their feelings and emotions onto you. Sometimes they can come so close to you without even touching you, being in the same room as you, or even in the same state as you. This can be extremely confusing and have you feeling quite uncomfortable, especially if you have no idea what is happening to you.
Projection has become a common practice especially on the internet with Instant Messaging and Web Cams so easily accessible. It is also common for some to practice mental projection without their target's knowledge or consent. Non-consentual mental projection is also called mental rape.
That is correct, I said "mental rape." Let me just describe a scenario to you and see if you can relate to this girl and her experiences. She was an innocent victim of mental rape. (Guys can also be victims of mental rape as well.)
Kennedy woke up at 6am and hopped into the shower. As she shampooed her hair she suddenly felt as though she wasn't alone. She felt a presence and it felt way too close. She quickly rinsed her hair, rushed her shower and reached to turn off the faucet when she felt something brush across her chest. Now she was confused and scared. She looked around the bathroom. There was no one there. Her heart started pounding with fear as she reached for her towel and covered herself. Just then, she felt a tug on her towel and a presence behind her. She quickly turned and found herself beginning to cry in panic. No one was there, was she crazy? She left the bathroom and went to her room to dress and finish getting ready.
She turned on some music and busied herself getting ready for work. After a short while Kennedy grabbed her keys and purse and headed off to work.
As she drove, her mind drifted back to her fearful morning shower. "What happened to me in there?" she thought to herself. "I know I'm not crazy."
When she arrived at her job, she waved and smiled quick hellos to everyone and then started her daily work routine.
Later, she got up and headed to the water cooler for a drink. Suddenly the hairs stood up on the back of her neck and her eyes went wide as saucers. Someone or something was touching her hair...it felt to Kennedy like someone was running their fingers through her hair and gently stroking it. She froze. She quickly turned to look behind her. No one was there.
She felt extremely nauseated and rushed to the nearby restroom to splash some cold water on her face.
She looked into the mirror just then. She didn't know what she expected to see, there was no one there but her.
She felt something, something touching her. She felt something warm on her neck which made her shudder to her core. She didn't know how to make it stop. All she knew was she didn't like it and it made her feel violated, like she had no control. She felt like a prisoner with no escape.
Kennedy was being mentally raped by an acquaintance she met on the internet. He was projecting to her what he wanted to do with her and to her in his own mind. Without her knowledge or consent.
Make no mistake, mental rape is not simply fantasy. Mental rapists (also called projection artists) know exactly what they're doing, and their crimes are all pre-meditated.
The good news is you CAN take control! A mental rapist (also another form of psychic or emotional vampire) feeds off of the reaction or energy that your body emits during its attack on you. Forewarned is forearmed. When you are aware that an attack is iminent, strike back! In your mind tell it (I use the term it because these vampires can be male OR female) to back off, get its filthy hands off of you, and then tell it it has no right to touch you or come anywhere near you without your permission. Then seal your intent by saying this:

So mote it be!
Mental rape is a crime! You don't have to be a victim! Wise up because the more you know...the better off you are!
