i glance into the mirror
the child that was
now a man
searching for a cause
where did the time go
once free
full of imagination
becomeing anything i wanted to be
i try to keep the inner child
and never truely grow up
but the battles of life
will seem to disrupt
the death of that bit of youth
is the death of the life it once had
left helpless and miserable
eyes open to the ugly un-truth
