So you think security is tight in our country. How about in China? Chinese cops last week jumped into action and stopped a major threat to the Olympic Games - bagpipes.
Police pounced when Scotsman Andrew Aitken fired up his pipes for an impromptu street concert near the so-called "Birds Nest" stadium - because they thought the instrument was a surface-to-air-missile launcher. Fortunately, a tour guide intervened in the clash of cultures, so Aitken wasn't busted. I could hardly type that out I was laughing so hard. Thank heavens the dude didn’t have a tuba player with him…The cops might of though he had a mortar launcher too.
This next bit is strange but, well you judge for yourself…Yick! West Virginia held a bio-disaster drill this week to protect residents from a disease spread by eating road kill.
The exercise in rural Hamlin simulated an outbreak of tularemia, which causes flu-like symptoms.
It's spread by ticks, and can be contracted from handling and eating the carcasses of rabbits, opossums and squirrels. See I used to be the hunter type and hunt and gather…but I can safely say I never hunted on roadways… And finally this last story blames Hitler for one more thing…NAZI COONS, not sure I truly know what a Nazi Raccoon is but here is what Europe is faced with. Forget Russia. Europe is facing an even bigger threat - Nazi raccoons!
The critters were unheard of in Europe until Adolph Hitler brought them to Germany in the 1930s to "enrich the [Third] Reich."
Now the masked bandits are storming across Europe like a panzer division. With no natural predators, they are threatening to wipe out the region's native wildlife. What if they sent in the Bagpipe dude to musically walk them out of Europe? Or Better yet send them over to West Virginia so those people can quit eating road kill.
