Tomorrow
Tomorrow has spread his wings
Flies away and leaves me
In my doomed and present state
Already I know that
Time has forsaken me
And dares me to press forward
When I have no future
To hold on to
Sadness and despair
Bite at what was once my heart
Now a twisted piece
Of bloodied flesh
That beats no more
For what I'd hope to become
Is now but a worthless memory
Along with others
Who feel this pain
Could I have changed this?
No, tisn't possible
For the outcome still
Remains the same
Death my Lover
Appears to me
Puts his hand out
To hold me in his embrace
I know 'tis time
For me to leave
Yet I'm loathe to
And shudder
He tells me, "Nothings to fear,"
And, "The damned are
Never given second chances."
I look into his hooded eyes
And see my answers there
Of what was really true
That there were
The dragons and the unicorns
And the vampires and the saints
That the winners became losers
Because of a diabolical plan
To overthrow and decimate
All those that were the odd ones out
And I finally realize
Who I really am
I am nothing
And nothing becomes nothing
Thus showing the world
What we truly are
So quote the Raven, "Nvermore."
Now I lay me doen to sleep
In the arms of my Lover
I'll forever keep.
