Good Morning, Happy Day it’s Wednesday and my computer is up. Well that and 10 cents will buy you…ah, well nothing… Hey I did a little research on Penguins. Well actually not on Penguins themselves more so Penguins as a Meal ticket. Did you know the average Polar Bear can eat as many as 86 penguins at a single sitting? Wow, huh… I bet that gives the gay Penguin rights activist’s some new ground to tread on. Some animal rights issues are for the birds… Hey I am a firm believer that animals should not be harmed, hurt (well apparently if you harm something you might as well say you hurt it, some excuse the hurt in this issue) or maimed in any making of any movie, stunt act, zoo trick side shoe Bob outing… (Side shoe Bob is from the Simpson’s right?)
Well, anyway just wanted to add something…sort of food for thought on the gay penguin issue…hmmm Polar Bear food for thought that is.
Now here is one for you that think you have no fear. This is a little tidbit on how far someone will go to make money.
In March, officials at the Gaza-Egypt border noticed that a Palestinian woman entering Gaza had a particularly lumpy upper body and searched her to reveal, strapped to her chest, three small crocodiles, which she had intended to sell to a zoo. [Columbus Dispatch-AP, 3-26-07] Ok…. I am dieing here. How on earth…wait better yet why? Why would you strap an Alligator to your upper body, let alone body in the first place? I mean OUCH! Gators, Crocks (handbags with teeth) bite right? Oh, and here is a thought,…let’s say she was…oh…large in the boobular area…Double ouch!! No pun intended… But, let me tell you one thing right here, nothing that has teeth is getting strapped to me that can take a bigger bite out of me then I can of it. Let alone those things have four feet all out-fitted in long nails… I am thinking she was not fully thinking the possibilities of the consequences of her actions. You know, I am thinking even one of those rubber gators strapped to me would freak me out….goose bumps are starting to form. Did you know our beneficiaries of the Gay Penguin story Germany, also made the news not so long ago, oh yea! Here is that story too I am just full of animal knowledge today : Spain has long been criticized for its traditions of animal abuse, such as bullfighting and, until recently, one village's festive custom of tossing a live goat from a church tower. German animal welfare activists complained in March about another Spanish "sport": the flinging of live quail into the air (from a catapult) so that hunters can shoot them. (Germany also has its ugliness, according to a March Der Spiegel report, with certain villages' customs of clubbing a hung-up goose and poking a cat with a broomstick through a hole in a crate.) [Spiegel Online, 3-6-07] I am thinking before long in Germany, the Goats, Penguins, Bulls will be all bellying up to the Bar together and having a drink with other patrons…except for the unlucky goose hanging from a rope… and perhaps neither the cat walking around with a broomstick sticking out its butt… Oh I best stop, its hard to type I am laughing so hard…..So now have a wonderful day. And rest assured that no goats were trust off a tower and no bulls were maimed either in this issue of Marty’s Mind… I am still trying to get that cat image out of my mind….I can just see the wicked witch of the west looking for her broom and a cat attached at the…well, that just would look way to weird for me.. have a great day.
