Massage basics

Massage is wonderful for the body and is also a definite stress reliever. It can help with the body aches that go along with stress. Massage also provides a sense of well-being.since touch is very positive.

It is important to set the mood for a massage. I use a dimly lit room that is not too warm and put on soothing music along with lighting softly scented candles for atmosphere. I have a fluffy towel for the person to lie on and offer a sheet to cover up with if modesty is an issue.

Regardless of how often I have seen a client, I leave the room to allow them privacy to undress. During those few moments I warm some scented oil in the microwave for about thirty seconds. When they tell me they are ready, I enter the room.Before beginning I ask if there are any medical conditions that I should know about, and if they have any particularly painful areas they need help with. I also find put if they have any off limit areas they do not want touched.

I always want the person to feel relaxed. I have had some fall asleep during a massage, which I take as a compliment. A full body massage should be done slowly, so I take my time and try to touch them in a way that I would enjoy if it were me getting the massage. For some, small talk is desired, and others prefer to say little or anything. I respect each person’s wishes.

I apply oil or lotion using long strokes using enough so that my hands glide smoothly over the skin. It is important to find out how much pressure is desired as everyone is different. I target specific knotted or tight areas, and pay close attention to any verbal or physical reactions to my touch.

With most sessions, I use the following sequence: 1. Lower then upper back, also gliding along each side. 2. Arms. 3. Feet. 4. Back of legs up to the thigh. 5. Have them roll over and start with the head and face (if desired). 6. Shoulders (both from above and below). 7. Chest/Breasts (if allowed). 8. Abdomen 9. Feet once more. 10. Front of legs up to thigh. 11. Any other areas requested. The most common types for me to provide are: Swedish Deep Tissue Shiatsu Pregnancy Sports

My name is Allen and I was born July 6 1960 in Atlantic Iowa.

Over the years I have been a Mall Security Guard, Inventory Control Manager for Wal-mart, a Driver’s Ed Instructor, and Managed a Drive-in theater in the summer and co-managed the indoor theater in fall and winter months. I have also been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 10years, but currently provide free sessions or by donation.

Also have been a former volunteer EMT and Firefighter, and a USAF Captain
Still certified as a licensed Pilot, but do not have my medical certificate renewed due to health issues.

Was married from 1982 till 2009, and have 3 kids, ages 21-29, and a 2 year old Granddaughter. Currently single.  

I had a heart attack in Jan 2009 and a stroke in Nov 2009.

Discovered a brain tumor in 2009 and had that removed in 2010.

Getting along fine overall but have short term memory loss, headaches, dizziness, and nerve damage in my legs and hip.  I was approved for disability in 2011.

I am hoping to find some open minded and honest friends here. People I can be myself with.  Someone I can talk to about general life, enjoy some casual flirting, or share adult experiences with.

Hopefully my future will find me with someone special who will be my friend and lover, and share our life’s ups and downs with.
