Jeannie season 3

#62 - "Fly Me to the Moon" Original Air Date: September 12, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Robert Marcus Directed by: Hal Cooper For fun, Jeannie turns a chimp, scheduled to go into outer space under Dr. Bellows' supervision, into a human being. It's up to Tony to find the chimp-now-human and convince him he should go back to being a chimp. Requesting Jeannie's help, her blink misfires and turns Tony into a chimp just in time for Dr. Bellows to prepare him to go into space. Guest stars: Larry Storch as 'Sam' the chimp. ___ #63 - "Jeannie or the Tiger" Original Air Date: September 19, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: James Henerson Directed by: Hal Cooper It's been two hundred years since Jeannie saw her sister Jeannie. During an illfated reunion at Tony's house her sister decides to trick Jeannie into her bottle, steal Tony away and send Roger all over the world in order to keep him from exposing her. You see he stumbled upon Jeannie after she was trapped in her bottle. After long nights dancing and dining all over the world Tony finally figures out that this aggressive new Jeannie is not his Jeannie and manages to free Jeannie and trap her sister in the bottle. Meanwhile Roger has just returned from the scorching desert. Attempting to free Jeannie from the bottle he releases her sister instead. It's an all out battle of the sisters for Tony, with Dr. Bellows not far behind. Classic Quote: "You gotta help me, she's gonna send me to the bottom of the sea, it's the only place left!"- Roger Healey. Special Tid Bit: This episode marks the first appearance of Jeannie's dark haired malevolent twin sister. Created by James Henerson who also just happened to work on the Bewitched crew before being fired for working on Jeannie as well. "I really goofed, in a Bewitched script I accidently wrote "Samantha blinks," when they read that they knew I was playing for both teams and they let me go," - James Henerson. Did you know: The emerald green costume worn by Jeannie's sister was actually seen not only in the first season of Jeannie but in the second season as well. Once it was worn by her sister in episode 63 it was never seen on Jeannie again. ___ #64 - "Second Greatest Con Artist in the World" Original Air Date: September 26, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Alan Devon Directed by: Claudio Guzman While in Hawaii on an assignment Tony becomes frazzled when Jeannie is seen wearing an expensive ancient scarab pendant. So expensive she is photographed and published in the news paper. Seeing the scarab (given to Jeannie by the King Tutt Himself) a two-bit crook (Charlie) sets his sights on making it his own. Posing as a millionare Charlie (played by Milton Berle) tries to convince Jeannie to give him a genuine King Tut Scarab pin worth a half-million dollars in exchange for an acre of beach. The beach is no ordinary beach though, with Charlies help Jeannie believes the beach is the locale where hundreds of diamonds wash ashore every day. Gladly trading the scarab for the land Jeannie soon finds out she has been tricked. Now it's Charlie who will witness the tides wash up diamonds on a beach he just traded for a 'crummy' scarab. It's not nice to trick Jeannie, who wants her scarab back. Guest stars: Milton Berle Did you know: Hal Cooper appears as Eddie, the dim-witted chauffeur. Classic Flub: Yes Jeannie is photographed and seen in the paper. While in later episode #124 "The Wedding" Jeannie can not be photographed. Apparently her ability to appear on film is only present when it helps further the plot. ___ #65 - "My Turned-On Master" Original Air Date: October 3, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Dennis Whitcomb Directed by: Hal Cooper Jeannie promises to transfer her powers for 24 hours to someone else if Tony will let her come along to a big reception. Little does Tony know that the "someone else" she picks is him. So when he says "We're up to our ears in paperwork," the figurative expression becomes literal reality. Things only get worse when Tony accidently passes the power on to Dr. Bellows! Classic Cameo: If you look close, 'Eddie' from the previous episode "Second Greatest Con Artist in the World" appears again. Only this time director Hal Cooper plays the uncredited roll of Dr. Bellows house painter. ___ #66 - "My Master, the Weakling" Original Air Date: October 10, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Ron Friedman Directed by: Claudio Guzman A physical trainer, Commander "Killer" Kiski deems Tony and Roger weaklings and nearly destroys them with his hard-core survival boot camp. After unknowingly forcing the broken down major's to go dancing later in the evening after a day of back breaking exercises Jeannie becomes infuriated with Kiski for his cruel treatment. In one fast blink Jeannie transforms the maniacal Kiski's personality into his sweet old aunt Effie. The reformed officer brightens his tent with chintz and flowers, has the majors painting bunnies and enforces proper etiquette when jumping from a plane. Guest stars Don Rickles and David Soul. Watch Closely: David Soul makes a brief Starsky-less appearance in a minor role. ___ #67 - "Jeannie, the Hip Hippie" Original Air Date: October 17, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Christopher Golato Directed by: Hal Cooper Tony's first vacation in years is postponed until he finds Amanda Bellows a mod, popular musical group for her charity bazaar. With Jeannie's help Tony is soon up to his ears in music so good that it threatens to ruin his vacation. Why? Who will be their tour manager? Guest stars Phil Spector and band Boyce & Hart. Special Tid Bit- Watch Barbara Eden play the drums with the band in the song "Out 'n About." ___ #68 - "Everybody's a Movie Star" Original Air Date: October 31, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Mark Rowane Directed by: Claudio Guzman A Hollywood director comes to Cocoa Beach to film a day in the life of an average astronaut. His goal seems simple at first, until he sees untapped talent in Tony and wants to make him into a big star. Roger, however, over hears only a portion of the directors comments to Dr. Bellows and believes that he is the one who they want to make a star and he develops an inflated ego. It's up to Jeannie and Tony to let him down gently before he makes a complete fool of himself. Guest stars Paul Lynde. ___ #69 - "Who Are You Calling a Genie?" Original Air Date: November 7, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Ron Friedman Directed by: Claudio Guzman Jeannie is knocked in the head with a door by Dr. Bellows and forgets who and what she is. It's up to Tony to convince her before she is taken by an over zealous attorney bent on milking NASA for all he can with Jeannie as his 'victim.' Guest stars Richard Deacon. ___ #70 - "Meet My Master's Mother" Original Air Date: November 14, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Marlene Fanta Shyer Directed by: Claudio Guzman Tony's overprotective mother drops in for a visit. Upon viewing an empty refridgerator and a 'skinny' Tony she decides Tony is not being taken care of properly and announces she is staying permanently. Little does she know she has angered Jeannie who is determined to get rid of her, or at least make her go back home. Guest stars Spring Byington Classic Quote: Mrs. Nelson: If the mountain won't come to Muhammed... Muhammed comes to the mountain. Tony: That mountain is gonna' get crowded mom. ___ #71 - "Here Comes Bootsie Nightingale" Original Air Date: November 21, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Paul West Directed by: Hal Cooper Tony is asked by Amanda Bellows to escort a glamorous movie star to her benefit ball. Now Tony has to juggle keeping it a secret from Jeannie as well as keeping Roger at bay who is in 'love' with Bootsie. The obvious solution is apparent to Jeannie. Since Roger loves her so much, he can take her. Unfortunately for Roger, Bootsie and her manager have planned for her to announce her engagement at the ball. Her engagement to Tony that is! It's a battle of the blondes as Jeannie fights to keep Tony away from Bootsie and Bootsie fights to keep away from a cartoon voiced Tony (Jeannie's doing) and a grabby Roger. Classic Quote: Bootsie: "He sounds like he escaped from a cartoon!" ___ #72 - "Tony's Wife" Original Air Date: November 28, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Christopher Golato Directed by: Claudio Guzman Jeannie's sister pop's in and convinces Jeannie that she was born under the 'Terrible sign of the Jinx' and only disaster will come to her master. That if she doesn't leave for fifteen years she will 'wipe him out.' When Tony complains of the bad luck he's been having, Jeannie is certain her sister is right. What Jeannie doesn't realize is not only her sister behind the 'bad luck' she is also (yet again) out to get Tony for herself. What Jeannie's sister doesn't count on is Jeannie attempting to get Tony set up and married off before she takes her fifteen year leave. Classic Quote: Jeannie's Sister: "My when they passed out brains in our family they really gave you an extra helping!" ___ #73 - "Jeannie and the Bank Robbery" Original Air Date: December 5, 1967 Original Air Time: 7:00pm Written by: Seaman Jacobs, Fred Fox and James Henerson Directed by: Larry Hagman To get Jeannie out of his hair, Tony suggests she help someone else for a change, someone who needs help. This makes it impossible for Jeannie to turn him away. Now Tony not only has to juggle Jeannie being present, but Haji's son as well.
