If you read my blog on the 4th of July events, you'll understand this.
So....Friday at work I got a good burn in on the Beaz-man...lol.
We went to put my check in the bank on my break, right? Well, when we got back to my work, we went up into the garage to my car to get the estimate for the repairs needed for it out of the front seat.
Beazil had apparently looked up the blue book value of my car and was spouting off about it only being worth $1,800, saying he wasn't going to dump $1,000 into a vehicle that was only worth just over a grand.
I said at least the car was paid for and that there was nothing wrong with the engine, just the cooling system. We can't afford to buy a new vehicle. Hold $1,000 in one hand and no vehicle in the other and see which one weighs more, ya know?
And he started saying it wasn't just the cooling system, that the engine was messed up too...and the transmission was on its way out. I told him I had just had the transmission replaced the year before last and it shouldn't be messed up. I asked where he had heard that there was something wrong with it.
Apparently the place that looked at my car had told him that the transmission was going bad. I said either they were looking for money...or it really was bad. And if it really was bad, it was because Beazil is really damn hard on cars!
His transmission is all messed up to. Let me tell ya, the guy should NOT be driving a standard. I hurt for that poor car of his. I really do.
Of course, that made him get all defensive...so as he dropped me off at the front doors of my building he said that I knew nothing about cars.
As I climbed out of his car, I twisted my head back, fluttered my eyelashes a little and with a very sweet smile replied that I knew enough to not take the radiator cap off when the engine is hot...and then shut the car door behind me with a little skip.
I know he was hollering something at my back, but couldn't hear him with the car door shut...lol.
You may not see the humor in the situation...but it was my smile for the day. lol
