About an hour ago our accounting person came over to tell M. (the boss' wife) that she needs to deposit the checks so that our paychecks tomorrow won't bounce.
M. agrees and says sure, no problem.
For the past hour though she's been hunting for the checks that she has misplaced.
Our accounting person, P. joined in to help in the seach and told M. that she has two hours till deadline.
M. is still seaching.
And all we can do over here is giggle.
I realize that most people's checks might bounce (though I'm hoping those few of us with direct deposit might be okay since ours go pending at midnight tonight) but it would be worth it for even my check to bounce to witness this mess. *laughs*
