      How Do You Honor A Veteran?,

        do you do it with a parade?,

        is that really enough,

        for the sacrifice that they made?

      How Do You Honor A Veteran?,

       do you listen to the stories

       they may tell ?

       does that change the fact ,

       that what they went through

       was pure hell.

      How Do You Honor A Veteran?,

      do you give them a day off

      and call it a holiday?,

      for all they've been through

      don't they deserve that anyway?

      I'll tell you what you do,

      The next time you see a veteran,

      walk up to him/her and shake their hand

      and simply say " Thank You!"
