More than ever, I truly want to destroy people who hurt kids.
Last week was a good week...missing children were found alive.
BUT HOW DARE anyone say a word against the poor Shawn Hornbeck boy in MO who was held by that freakish fucktard Devlin for over FOUR YEARS? It was the boy's fault, right? He could have gotten away, right? WRONG, you ridiculous, brain dead, pablum spooning, Bush voting imbeciles.
He was, is, a little boy. He will never be the same, his childhood stolen by a sick, selfish bastard who refuses to get help for his un-acceptable impulses.
How can it ever be the child's "fault" that they are abused, raped or murdered? This boy was manipulated, terrified, in fear for his life. Please, my blissfully ignorant friends, get ANGRY, before it happens to your child or someone you know.
We need legislature that assures human turds like devlin never see the light of day after their first offense.
I know, Devlin has never been caught previously, but why didn't anyone wonder why his "son" was not in school? Why couldn't adult neighbors figure out something was wrong in the ol' Devlin homestead? It couldn't be the fault of our self centered, insulated society, could it? NAAAH, HERE'S AN IDEA... Let's blame the boy. (that makes as much sense as paula abdul becoming a celebrity again, but that happened as well..)
What a sick yet typical rationalization by a country that has become unable , unwilling even, to educate, protect, shelter and clothe it's young, homeless, and poor. Blame them, right? The helpless, the innocent, the hurt, the needy. it's their fault, right?
I ask myself as so many loud mouthed self righteous christians and republicans do...
what would jesus do?
he'd never fucking stop throwing up, that's what he'd do.
We need to WATCH our kids...Devlin never would have been able to get these boys if a simple community team effort like a neighborhood bus stop watch had been in place.
It's unplesant to think about things like this.
It may seem easier to turn away.
But isnt it time to get pissed and do something about it, before it happens to someone you know...or your own child? Wouldn't that piss you off....maybe even more than the douchebag that skips in front of you at Starbucks? Get pissed at something that matters.

The world is judging Shawn Hornbeck.
Shawn is alive and we should be grateful.
Shawn is safe and we should wish him the best.
Shawn has suffered enough; he should not also suffer the barbs of our criticism and judgment.
Think about it.
Four years ago Shawn was small and vulnerable.
He was stolen by a psychopathic monster (my diagnosis, but you will see that it is true).
This bully without conscience used every trick at his command to beat down, intimidate and abuse Shawn into believing that he had to remain.
That poor boy: the things that must be going through his mind right now.
Shawn Hornbeck needs:
The love and understanding of his family;
The support of the community; large and small;
Inner strength;
Intensive counseling... and a lot of time.
Shawn Hornbeck is alive... and right now that should be enough for all of us to celebrate.

Earlier today the prognosis was bleak for Ben Ownby.
Now he is safe at home as is Shawn Hornbeck who was kidnapped from the same general area over 4-years ago.
I thought that it was like the Super Bowl of child recoveries until I heard that Monica and Mercedes Pineda, two Texas Amber Alert victims were also recovered.
All of a sudden it is like the Super Bowl of child recoveries on steroids.

Ben Owmby has not been seen since.
Based upon this limited but verifiable information Ben was the victim of a kidnapping and the white Nissan pickup is implicated in his abduction.
It is now 96-hours later and despite receiving more than 500-tips, mostly pertaining to the white Nissan pickup, Ben is still missing and the case remains unresolved.
My research into Ben's disappearance has uncovered startling statistics:
*57.2% of children kidnapped by predators have their initial contact within ¼ mile of the child's home.
*35% of those children have initial contact within 199 feet of their home.
*Numerous children, including the initial milk carton child, Etan Patz, disappear either going to or returning home from the school bus.
Clearly, school bus stops are an integral component of the predator's hunting ground.
It is my fervent hope that this case is resolved quickly and successfully.
