FWD: My worry

This was forwarded to me this morning... Ooorah Marines! My Worry Well I was at the mall the other day and given the climate of today's world I was just slightly afraid. I saw an Army gent and asked him what the army had to prevent. He smiled and stood and told me of the tanks and Bradleys and artillery. I acknowledged and thanked him for his willingness to serve. My worry was still not appeased when I spied and Air Force group. I repeated the question and they told me of things such as stealth and bombs that could land on a pin. There was just no way the terrorists could win. Again I smiled and thanked them for their tour, but still my fear needed something more. I soon saw a Navy Officer and again I asked my question and she replied about the pride of the fleet, aircraft carriers with planes and bombs. She talked of silent submarines and cruise missiles ready to defend. I thanked her for her candor and told her I was proud of what she was willing to do, but yet the fear was still with me. You would think I would feel secure. I spotted a single Marine who was standing tall and steel straight. I asked the others so I did not hesitate; I asked him what the Marine Corp had. Without a smile or pretense he told me they had him and other Marines. My fear went away for I knew it was true. AS long as there are Marines this country is safe. Thanks to all whom serve and God bless but a special thank you to my Brothers. Semper Fi Marines Jerone A. Bowers Sgt. USMC Amen! Once again, this is why everyone should call the Corps...

On Paris Island we all treaded lightly onto some yellow footprints. Thinking HOLY SHITY WTF have we gotten ourselves into now. Eventually over the course of a few days or weeks we found our footing and made loud noises wherever we went... even in 'go-fasters'. Over the next few years, in duty stations around the world, we all made our own impacts on the world around us. For 231 years the United States Marine has been and continues to be the most feared fighting man on the face of the Earth. Defiant of oppression yet loyal to each other and their country... The US Marine stands on line and takes the fight to the enemy wherever he goes. As every Marine will tell you there is no such thing as an ex-marine... Once a Marine, Always a Marine holds true for the strength of character never leaves you and God forbid the bugle cries out in the dead of night... for in every town and city across America... young, old, healthy, or ill... The Marine stands ready and willing to stand against the darkness and bring hope to us all. On this 231st Birthday of The United States Marine Corps... I want to wish every brother and sister Marine an Ooorah and Semper Fi'... Happy Birthday Marines!
