ingredients
1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Garlic cloves ( to your taste)Grated (garlic is optional)
Toasted slivered or sliced almonds
preparation
Cook green beans for 5 minutes in 1 inch of boiling water, covered. Drain and return skillet to heat.
Add EVOO, butter and to the skillet. Toss drained beans in the oil and melted butter, and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and garlic.
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with toasted slivered or sliced almonds.
