Good Morning.
How does one determine good parenting over bad? I mean think about it. There are tons of parenting books, magazines, television shows, self help talk shows and even instructions manuals. Oh yeah! The instruction manual is called and are you ready for this? THE TOTAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM, by James Lehman a behavioral therapist. Well isn’t that a fine how do you do? A manual to help raise children into fine people. I need to send Mr. Lehman a Thank you Card. Oh no, I did not require his services however seeing all the rat bastard children that turn into serial killers and I am not talking about someone who polishes off a box of cheerio’s either! I am referring to the sniper over looking the highway that has wounded or killed numerous innocent individuals. I am talking about the John Wayne Gaceys of the world. The Reverend Jim Jones who wiped out hundreds. The list goes on pick your own murderer I mean there are thousands upon thousands, however my story is not about Mr. Lehman’s book or about the Hitler’s of the world. Some could even call either one of the Bush’s Mass murderers however my morning letter is kind of a toast to Doug and Valerie Herrman. I already know what you are thinking. Who the hell are they and why do they get top billing over the likes of some of the other toilet biscuits. Well here is their story: El Dorado, Kan. -
The Butler County Sheriff's Department continues the investigation into the missing boy from Towanda, who has been identified as 11-year-old Adam Herrman at the time of his disappearance.
Officers are continuing to investigate the case, looking at it as a missing person case and going about it as if it is a death because that leads to a deeper investigation. Despite this, they are not leaning one way or another on if Adam is still alive or not. Adam disappeared 10 years ago and it was thought he disappeared during the summer months.
Adam, who was born June 8, 1987, used to live in the mobile home park with his adopted parents, Doug and Valerie Herrman, who adopted him when he was 2 1/2. They had been foster parents for the Adam and his siblings when they lived in Derby. They also adopted two of Adam's younger siblings, after which they moved to Towanda. The Herrman's were the park managers at the time. It’s not like they did not have ample time to report the child missing I mean 1999 is a while back…perhaps they just poked their head out from the bomb shelter. You know the end of the world was coming in 1999 when all the computers were going to crash. What kind of Parents, adopted or not do not report an 11 year old missing? Are they brain dead? Were they too caught up in the family trailer park? What on earth were they thinking…Oh wait they weren’t! Seems like they might have noticed there was an extra hotdog or two after dinner. Perhaps not having to purchase him shoes for lets say 10 years! I mean this kind of thing just boils me. Settle down Mart the party just begun don’t pull all your poppers before the grand finale. Ok I myself and Bonnie will worry like expected parents when the girls are out just on a shopping trip or late night stay with friends…we worry! No if ands or butts and (is that the backside spelling?) Never mind, so again we are not model parents but it doesn’t take a model parent to say hey, where are you going or who has seen him and report, report like chicken little and the sky is falling. To many take for granted what they have until they have lost them. Don’t get me started on the mother of 6 who needed 8 more to make her life complete. How about getting one husband to stay with her goofy ass! I mean there! How about picking up after his smelling dirty ass, let alone trying to pop a teet into 8 mouths at one… what is she a cow? Holey macaroni grill do I need to chill the hell out. 10 years…10 years and they just now report him missing… Stick their child killing asses in jail and do not even bother to collect money from the good people of Kansas for their short comings. Again me and Miss Worrywart Bonnie are not Mary & Joseph by any means. We have made our mistakes time in and time out. But my god if they are not guilty of this kids disappearance then call me the Easter Bonnie and give me back my damned speckled colored eggs…I am pissed.

Wow, I need a V8… and not the Dodge Durango style either…
Perhaps Mr. James Lehman can use the Herrmans as an example on his next manual.
