April showers bring May flowers. Today it’s raining and is forecasted to do just that all day. Good day for flower growth.
Good Morning and How-D-Do? Ok, this greeting was not meant for D only… All of you it’s a question for…. Wait, now that I think of it… lets play a game. We will call this day Wednesday morning scratch your head and wonder where in the world did he come up with it ..and why? Ok here is the game. It is just a simple question and answer game. The game is called: What kind of flower are you and why? It’s simple enough, this doesn’t mean your favorite flower, but it could be, It doesn’t mean pick a weed (dandelion) but you could be if that is what you feel you are. Just give me what flower you portray yourself as and why, simple enough? Ok, I will start it out, just so no one utters these words… Oh I so detest this phrase, “YOU FIRST!” Ok, Marty would be various flowers at various times. I can be the softest rose with a tinge of prickly stem…or I can be a big ole carnation spread out as wide as my arms can reach… But, then again I can be a petunia and just hang around throughout the day. I think at times I could be a sunflower big as a Hippopotamus’s yawn and right there in your face in the morning sun… Or I know how about a wild flower… all over the place and no idea where it will come up next or how it got there to begin with. Do you know that most of us guys knowledge of flowers stop at the rose? Not saying me, although I had help in some of my flower power info from dearest Bonita as her flower beds have been the highlight of many of spring and summer visits to our house by friends family and stray dogs thinking they need more watering then Bonnie or Ms Nature is giving them. Oooops Mother Nature… I meant. Don’t want to upset her as she will rain down…rain on me…hmmm wonder what I did to deserve today’s showers. Never mind, I guess I just had today’s showers on a tab somewhere. . . But back to flowers and knowledge of said beauties I can not fathom just how many varieties there are and like I said and perhaps this is not all that true. The different types of flowers to us guys still remain flowers! I mean if you put 10 guys in a room and cover a table with hundreds of different flowers and ask us to name them silently and jot it down on a piece of paper. I bet the average answer would be….FLOWERS. Period! Oh we might guess a few easy ones, a Tulip, a Rose, A daffodil, Rhododendron (although that is a bush and my knowledge of bushes is well…let’s not go down that avenue quite yet) How about flowering trees? I love a full bloom dogwood, but then again it’s blossoms are flowers but can one safely say it’s part of the flower family? Oh yeah I can and I could just say it’s stem is made of wood! Flowers, what would I be, what would you be? You know, that is a marvelous question. See, I believe I would be a certain flower while someone else might call me a entirely different flower. I think that is true with everything in life… We see ourselves one way and others see us possibly another… So lets take this assignment one step further. Not only name what flower you would be and why but, name what I would be and why. For every reply back with what you are and I am I will guess back at what I think you should be or are in my eyes. Ok, I will make this easier, since there hopefully will be men answering back as well we will open up the addition of Bushes and Trees into the mix. So Dogwood, Rhododendron’s and Lilac’s are available now… Come on, give it a try what can it hurt. See I think everyone is beautiful in many ways, beauty my fine friend is now just skin deep. I have heard and read this statement emailed over, and over and over again about friendship.. It’s entitled “Reason, Season or a Lifetime” Ok, I am sure we have all seen that once or a million times. So this will be titled “ Flower, Bush or tree, what might you be” Have fun, make someone’s day…You just never know who needs to hear they remind you of a rose, a lilac or a weed…just kidding some of the prettiest weeds grow in southwestern Michigan. So write back or hell don’t write back write someone else and say what they remind you of and what you think of yourself in that scheme of life’s garden. We all remind each other of something…don’t we? Have a great day… Oh, my flower… I would be a Sunflower because I rise early in the morning and full of energy and as the day wears me down I somewhat droop and lose my vigor, my beauty is nothing to speak of but I am big on love and wouldn’t bother another flower but, to help it... I am a sunflower. Have a great day from one flower to another you have bloomed into a marvelous sight…
