You can't have the sunshine
Without a little rain

There is a dark angel
Inside everyone of us 
We have all at some stage 
Been for a ride 
On the crazy bus 
We have all done things 
That we cannot explain 
We have all been selfish 
And caused others pain 
Not caring what others say or think 
Oblivious of whether we swim or sink 
I have a dark angel inside of me 
Fighting for the control 
A vicious callous demon 
Who wants to steal my soul

Are you drowning
In negative thinking
Do you feel like a ship 
In stormy waters
Slowly but inevitably sinking
Do you teeter on the edge of insane 
Has depression taken lodgings 
Inside of your brain
Feeding like a vampire 
Thriving on your negativity 
Are you crushed by the weight 
Of your harsh reality 
Do you feel like you are 
Constantly swimming up stream
Are you robbed of your ambition 
Has it stolen your dream
Are you not who 
You are supposed to be 
Are you controlled by
A separate entity 
Is it dark in there 
Have you lost the will to care
Do you sit for hours
With a cold blank stare
Does every waking moment 
Feel like a never ending nightmare
