He walks alone in the shadows of the night.
Wandering the land of dreams
Heeding the call of those in need
He hears the beckons of their plight
He guards over them with all his being
Protecting his charges from harm.
Destroying those that challenge him
he stands alone in tortured pain
His heart guarded as he would those in need.
He must not allow himself the pleasure
True to his realm he must stay.
For the need is too great for him to be distracted.
He is fair and just, kind and caring
He has the power of the Nightmare,
His dark side unyielding, unforgiven
His gentle hand tightly gripped.
He destroys those that threaten ones in his care.
Fierce as a lion protecting his pride.
The Dream Master unleashes his wrath.
The horror of the Nightmare is his to command.
He yearns for a love that is that is real.
For the one that can stand beside him
The Lady of the Shadows that stands behind him
Until he finds her, He will walk alone.
Never to allow one so close
The Dream Master remains solitary
Full of remorse of what he has missed.
Allowing his jester to mask his pain
Dream warriors on their watch
For the Master's next victim or charge
They do his bidding and hear his call.
They are loyal and fearlessly true to him alone
No one know his sorrow or his pain
He finds his solace in the land of Dreams
It is the place where he finds his peace
He know his heart and remembers love
There will come a day when the Dream Master is in pain no more.
Until then, he will remain an shadowy figure of the night.
