Oh my GOD that sucked.
I think my mixture is too wet... again... and I spent the better part of the last
what?
2 hours
cleaning.
I cleaned 4 times for two very bad coats of primer.
I deep cleaned once.
What was the problem?
Round one no media was coming out, so I did a quick clean and overcompensated by overthinning.
... wet drippy crap and media still wasn't coming out.
Cleaned again.
Every aperture, every crevice
every entry.
I thought this was overkill since I KNEW I left for vacation with this thing clean.
...
same problem.
got the mineral spirits, ran it through my reservoir, scrubbed my nozzle a little bit and
SPEW
Tons of mineral spirits came out.
... interesting.
But it only happened when I would work the media control and after I wiped the nozzle. There was even this weird high pitched squeal when it was flowing normally.
Went back to the sink.
Scrubbed.
Scraped.
Soaked all apertures in mineral spirits
and took out my bamboo skewer to poke at my crown cap
and out popped a glob of blue and white paint.
...
Should've done that about the first time I cleaned.
Mixed my paint, put down a semi-decent layer
cleaned.
Holy fuck my back hurts.
This was easier before trauma.
Think I'll grab some tylenol and something hot to drink.
This layer needs to cure anyway- I definitely put down the second layer about 30 minutes too soon.
