Okay, what is the deal with guys who seem to love a BBW woman when the doors are closed or the lights are down, but don't have the stones to pursue one when their friends are around? They profess their desire, yet you don't actually see them dating one in the open. Or they want a hook up with a BBW to fulfill some deep-seated fantasy about being with a woman with "soft curves" who looks like a "real woman" but won't go there when they are seeking a real girlfriend or LTR? I'm confused. Someone told me that there is even a good business in G'ville for BBW escorts. Huh? Yet, if you go on Match or Yahoo Personals or some other online dating site and you are more than "average body type" or more than a "few (meaning TEN or less) extra pounds" you are discarded, rejected or treated like you have some funky communicable disease. TRANSLATION: No dates for you!!! Craigslist seems to harbor a bunch of BBW admirers...I wonder if they would admit that if there was not the cloak of anonymity that the internet affords them. A woman like me---smart, beautiful, single, cultured, caring, fun, etc---is left in the dust unless a guy is looking for a No Strings Attached entanglement or a lightning quick and utterly meaningless booty call. (You know who you are! Stop embarrasing yourself!)
There are some guys who are emotionally or chronologically (age) mature enough to state what they like in the light of day and pursue a woman who is outside the "norm" of what is considered Hollywood's standard of anorexic chic. These men are, sadly, few and far between while their counterparts, licking their chops in silence, are sneaking around on the down low. Give me a break. I have had boyfriends, to be sure, so I am (and most BBWs are) NOT desperate. I know I have the goods. Everyone is allowed to choose who they are attracted to. I just want to know...what gives? You guys bitch to me about how your stick-figure girlfriend cheated on you AGAIN or thinks she's God's Gift to Gainesville or has as much depth as an oil slick. Excuse me if I'm short on sympathy. Look,I have gorgeoous slim friends. I also have gorgeous full-figured, "thick", BBW, Rubenesque, curvy friends. Make up your mind, fellas. If you like a BBW, then MAN UP and say it, show it.
