My life is nothing but chains.
One part link into another.
All one in the same.
Yet not one whole.
Each link lays before me.
Some blue and true
Others frost and lost.
So bonded yet
So free.
Each one stands alone.
Each one stands together.
You lose some.
You gain some.
I set her touching each.
I can't help but regret.
So many have frost over.
So few are blue.
Each one that slips
through my fingers
cuts me.
Some cut,
deeper and dearer.
Some cut ,
shallower and sharper.
I feel every groove,
every nuke,
every tone.
For every link
that has frosted,
a new one is made.
For every pain i feel
there is a pleasure i feel.
For ever tear i let fall
there is a new one i feel.
For every link i lost
there is one found.
So when all is done and said,
there is only one thing unsaid.
When my time is done will my
chains be heavy and thick,
Or when that time comes
will the be light and fragile.
