You ever wake up and the cat is reading the paper or gazing in a floor full length mirror at itself? That’s freaky deaky stuff there. Now I have seen the cat look into the mirror before but, I always shrug it off as it sees itself and thinks there is another cat beyond it. Now this is no normal everyday lazy cat. This is the cat that was a chew toy between Liz and Chubs when Liz was like …I believe 2 perhaps 3 years old. Yes I am talking about Wenceslas, yeah that is not really her name. The kids named her Cuddles. But this cat is not a cuddles type cat, she knows it and I know it, so although she comes to both names (actually she would come to anything you called her if you are holding a mouse, well YIK! Or say a piece of fish) she humors the kids by coming to that name. I rescued her from Chubs grip and thumped Liz on the ass for tugging on the other end of her so she has always had a special bond with me. Ask who’s cat she is and the girls will always say “You mean Rat-Cat, she is Dad’s cat for sure” Bonnie would beg to differ. But, when I trudge upstairs to bed Wenceslas is either racing me up the stairs, which I still have not understood that whole cat thing with stairs yet… anyway and she plops on the bed and is like ok here I am pet me. So where was I going with this…? OH so I wake up and the cat is staring at the News Paper on the floor. No I did not put news papers down for her to use it as a kitty litter tray, but I must have looked at something in the sports section or something of that nature not sure. But the cat was like looking down at it while sitting. So I say to Bonnie look at that goofy cat. What is she doing? I should have just asked the cat. Bonnie without losing a beat and did a look at the cat and back to the bathroom she was heading into and said, “she is reading the paper” and then she closed the door. Bonnie not the cat. So I let that go as Bonnie knew no more then I did on what the cat was doing staring into the paper. So last night watching the results show from American Idol. The goofy cat is looking into the mirror which we normally do not have a full length mirror in the front room but, the girls when getting ready like to watch TV so they do their make up sometimes in the front room / living room area. Oh yes and always forget they brought it down stairs and we end up taking it back up. So here is Wenceslas looking into the mirror and me trying to watch the results of American Idol, and let me just say the wrong people went home last night, but oh well. So I turn to ask Bonnie if she sees this cat looking at itself in the mirror. Bonnie replies “She is checking herself out) then goes back to watching TV, yeah I am just a goober there trying to figure out what this cat all of a sudden is so interested in the daily news and her looks so I say, “ Well if she starts using Jax Makeup then you’re going to have to tell her no…) Yeah I got one of those looks like you are not real serious are you? So that was the last two days of trials and tribulations at the Bell Household. It was kind of a good thing I did not tell this story yesterday I would not of had the Mirror part to add in. I may just have to pick up a news paper for the cat as well. I wonder do they make kitty literature? Hmmm I mean, hell perhaps I can get her the book, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof or The cat in the Hat series….Puss and boots? The G rated one come on this cat has morals.. Have a great weekend.
