To my dear brothers and sisters in arms.
To those who have made it back i welcome you home , and hope you never have to leave your loved ones again.
No more hugs that seem to last forever and walking away backwards just to feel as though you have not turned your backs on them.
No having to wait 3 weeks to send a letter that might not get there. No more tears
To those who have lost someone to those who have not made it back to us.
To your families i say..
I am forever sorry for the losses that you face, in times of need where lives are lost only the best of us are chosen and to know that they have passed away in the name of our country and to hold fast our freedom.
They shall never be forgotten, for they are not just names on a wall or in a book. They are forever hero's for a world they were too good for. Super man bat man and the flash hold no candle to these braves these men, these women too.
They fight and died for freedom , for me and for you. They were hero's then they are hero's now, They are Hero's tomorrow immortalized forever in memory and history.
They join the ranks now of a greater army. They join those who have gone with them and before them. They died in hopes no more will fill their ranks in the future.
They have not died in vain this i promise you, they died fighting they died loving you.
Brothers and sisters, Together again, Perhaps one day our fight will no longer be, not with those across an ocean across the sea perhaps the only fight in future to come will be the fight to chose, To be or not to be?
it would be so much easier for you and me. But till then i remember you fallen friends, gone but not forgotten, Not here but for ever a part of our hearts.
Let this hopefully be our lesson, Do not let their be the same mistakes for our future , Do not let it be our children. Let us end this here and now.
Let us fight this last good fight then go home, For all of us here and their can lay down our arms.
And sleep, just sleep never no more for their to be battles again like these.
