Some have been asking questions about auctions and how to be part of one, I hope this blog helps answer some of your questions. If you have a question that is NOT answered in this blog feel free to send me a private message or message me via SB or staff chat and I will do my best to answer them...
You may have seen other people on fu advertising auctions at some point in time and have wondered what it is exactly. Well, basically you come up with a list of things you are willing to do for the person who bids the highest.
It's pretty simple... You send me (or person handling graphics for the auction) the list of things you are willing to offer to highest bidder, along with a link for the picture you want to use (if you want, otherwise person handling graphics will choose one they like best. I have included a few examples from previous auctions to give you some ideas. Once you have sent in your list to the person who is handling the auction, your auction pic will get placed in a photo album (usually on Strivings page). Once the auction starts the album will be open to the public.
Person being auctioned will get all fubucks and/or credits of winning bid. On top of that, Management (or those sponsoring auction) MAY offer prizes for various things such as Most bids, Highest bid, etc... In the past auctions boomies were given out for most bids and one to random bidder... It all depends on the person sponsoring auction.
You do NOT need to offer bling. you only need to offer what you are comfortable offering. If you offer a salute, it is completely up to you if you offer a SFW salute or NSFW salute... You can specify bling if they bid credits...
It is simple, they go to the album and leave a photo comment on what they want to bid. You, as person being bid on, have the right to refuse any bid by either commenting on the bid or by privately messaging person sponsoring the auction declining bid and it will be noted. Highest bid will be UPDATED nightly by person in management.
