Heyyy friends!
been awhile since i popped in! How you all you doin??
I had a great weekend, a long overdue getaway weekend.
We took off and spent a day at the river, playin with the fam, gettin some sun, swimmin, yup all that good stuff :) Heh, got a bit pink tho, been slathering on the aloe the last couple days lol it would so be worth it if it would actually turn to some color or a tan, but i highly doubt it...i stay white no matter what lol
After our day at the river we went to my brother-in-laws and grilled and shot off fireworks. thats always fun for a bit :)
we spent the next day kind of bein bums, but we really enjoyed getting to do that for a change. we saw some people we hadn't since moving, and lounged by the pool. Then went to the lake where the city's big fireworks display was gonna go off. indulged in a yummy funnel cake..bavarian cream baby!...had an awesome show (but i do think last years may have been better)
Afterwards i went out with a couple girl friends for a couple drinks, surprisingly not much goin on. it used to be the bars were packed after the show, but it was pretty low key. We closed down the bar and went over to the mexican taco place and grabbed a snack, sat and bullshit with the guys there...well ok so my part of bullshitting was small bc my spanish is minimal lol but it was still fun. all i know is i owe my friends next time cuz they kept tryin to get me in trouble with the guys. lol oh well....another time i just may have taken them up on it! ;)
the drive home sunday was long since we were all tired from the weekend. that never fails does it. you go away or go do something for the weekend and then ya feel tired at the end lol
Had to go to omaha yesterday for dr appt, which ended up being uneventful...but we salvaged the day by going shopping *grin*
That doesn't get to happen very often at all so i loved getting to actually hit some stores. got some really cute tops and shorts and even the cutest sexy lingerie piece. yepyep very good day :)
