"In The Meadow" started off as a poem that I wrote for an ex-girlfriend/LDR. She moved on, and so did I... eventually. Now the poem's in public domain (no names were used, so no harm done!). When I started up my Blog section, I kinda-sorta accidently used the poem title as the the blog title... instead of just the title of the blog entry... d'oh!!! Live 'n learn.
To turn lemons into lemonade, I figured I'd cover my mistake by explaining that the blog title is a metaphor representing anything of a romantic (ie... sexual, sensual) nature. More to the point, "In The Meadow" represents a woman's second-most important sexual region (next to the brain, of course!). What does one find in a meadow??? FLOWERS, most certainly, and we ALL know what flowers symbolize... yes- the production of HONEY- wink, wink! One could also say that TALL GRASS can be found there, too; however, with the popularity of the uber-hygenic and oh-so-sexy practice of the shaving of the nether-regions, that reference may be a bit archaic!
Anyway... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Enjoy your stay in the meadow, but watch out for snakes. Ooooops... ANOTHER metaphor! But then... what else is a meadow for (bad pun)???!!!
