Good Morning. Did you get a glimpse of the lunar eclipse? It was quite interesting to say the least. I had slept uneasy most of the night due in fact to train whistles and the moon shinning so brightly that I had not even noticed the eclipse was taking place while I stopped for morning coffee at a local gas station. The attendant asked me if I had seen the moon. I said yeah it was bright as hell…then he said no I mean the lunar eclipse… Duh! Comes as a more and more frequently used term in my head about myself. So after I brow beat myself into submission I said “dang, I thought for a moment it was a bit darker then it was last night” Oh well better to see it then not. However seeing the eclipse will not change anything in ones life, perhaps make it richer for seeing it. The wonders of our world unfold in a heavenly performance. It’s an eerie calm that took place as it was happening that I can truly say. I mean yeah, you still could here distant traffic. The symphonic chirping of the crickets. But this was different. Their chirps were more in a unison sound, more at ease… was I just thinking this so? Was I merely wanting it to be some cosmic force that gripped all things together and made it as of one? Did the event cure the blind, grow a limb where limbs no longer were? No none of these things. It did not stop the war, it did not stop fighting , turmoil, treachery or harm to others…it merely was a force of nature that happened…plain and simple the eclipse just happened. Going down to the local casino and betting a wad on 8-28-07 or any combination of would get me…perhaps rich? No, if it was meant to be it would be. Perhaps it is what it is…and nothing more… another day and another event that has passed. There will be those that will say this was a sign. The end is near. Why does it always have to be the end is near? Why can’t it be the beginning is near? A new start. A better day, We have those that will view it in a way that makes sense to themselves and nothing more. Marty it’s Tuesday. In fact it is Tuesday Morning the 28th of August. For some it’s their first day and for others it will be their last day and yet more so then not for others just … another … day… For me it’s a chance to embrace the day as I hope all of you do. Yeah it’s just another day, but then again it’s not. What ever today has in store for you I truly hope it is what you want to happen and not what you do not. But, then again that is life. It is always a work in progress type of adventure is it not? You seldom travel a road that is not rocky or twists and turns that make the ride more meaningful. One saying that comes to mind is that of love. While it has been said: It is better to have loved and lost then to have never been loved at all… Life, it is what we make of it. It’s not a party everyday. But it is not despair everyday either. I think that is why there are things like salt and sugar… We take things with a grain of salt and we also sugar coat them too. Life, experience it to the fullest. If not…today would not be Tuesday to you but just another … day … So… I truly hope this is Tuesday for you… come on smile…isn’t life worth a smile?
