Hopeless Giver
like service to a failing heart
she offered up her last
child inside gone weary in time
from murders of the past
to fail in truth and walk away
a skill she'll love to hate
the selfish burn in your cold ways
too much for her to take
another lost that stole her heart
and threw it to the side
too logical to resist the truth
and in darkness she will hide
there are words left burnt upon her
that echo in through the blue
and the question of when it passed away
"i care enough not to want to hurt you"
wander through the empty night
frustration a new found friend
and sing to those who'll never listen
that pain has brought the end
Sociopathic Heart
without a thought for the moment
you touched what wasn't yours
sentencing a fall
un befitting the crime
of loving the supposedly kind stranger
guilt free and conscious decayed
poisoned by the honey sweet hell of your words
time taught sight to the fool
once so in love with with those kind whims
but as all the self serving do
you offered perfect lies
but lived the truth of your lost heart
and reality dawned in a thoughtful moment
that sociopath is your nature
