you give so much to me
so much i do not understand
yet you give so openly and easily that i become frightened
frightened that i can give nothing in return
nothing that could ever compare to the selflessness of you
a selflessness that can only be obtained through years of self sacrifice
sacrifice to unfit people
people that know only how to take from you
people that know only how to hurt you
and walk on you
and leave you bleeding in the aftermath
as i reflect upon you
maybe i do understand afterall
