Your Heartbeat
As my mind seems to wander I feel myself slipping away. In exhaustion I fall emersed in your arms. I find comfort in the sound of your heartbeat that lulls me into a seemingly never ending feeling of happiness. As I lay my head on your chest it takes me away from a reality of problems. This feeling of comfort clenses my mind and allows me to continue on along the road of life. Sometimes the sound of your heartbeat is all I live for. It's the sound that tells me that everything is going to be okay and that there really is a reason to laugh and to smile. For me the sound of your heartbeat is a reminder of how much you really love and care about me. For this gift of comfort, I am thankful.
